Can't even call Mist 'mercenary', that's far too nice a term for her XD  Poor Grace...

Poor Grace! Forced to sleep in a garage because of her evil mother! I'm sure Grace would be very pretty if her head wasn't shaved and she wasn't in a maid's outfit. I don't know if I want Mist to have an heir or not. We don't need another Grace treatment!

Hey, just wanted to say that this is fantastic, one of my favourite legacies to read!  :D Would you mind if I also did a family tree for my legacy? I didn't want to go ahead and steal the idea before asking you.

It's a common practice, most legacies seem to, as far as I know. I prefer to keep track of everyone in my head, but it's not Azokka's idea to do a family tree  ;D

Okay, thanks! It was just that I was going to use the exact same program and stuff, so I thought I'd check.

That seems to be the most common program to do it with  :)

Poor child!!!!!!! Oh and shoutout to Shewolf13 The General Hospital music should totally be cued up to!  ;) ;) Haha oh my gosh this really is a soap opera. Rename it to The Moonstone Daily Drama or something, haha ! :) Anyway back to the story, The poor child. Why is grace not an acceptable heir? Have Mist give her to Melody or something. She would have a better life..... *teardrop*. Anywho, great job as always, can't wait for the next one!

I'll consider it. Here's to hoping the drama will cool down soon . . . though I can tell you that it's only going to go way up when they're teenagers, which is what I'm playing right now! Heirs have to be female and colorful, to carry on the rainbow genes. Don't worry, Grace's life changes for the better . . . ish.

Can't even call Mist 'mercenary', that's far too nice a term for her XD  Poor Grace...

She is evil. An evil little evil criminal evil mastermind.

Poor Grace! Forced to sleep in a garage because of her evil mother! I'm sure Grace would be very pretty if her head wasn't shaved and she wasn't in a maid's outfit. I don't know if I want Mist to have an heir or not. We don't need another Grace treatment!

She really is gorgeous in the future. She looks just like Mist! Don't worry, Mist only hates Grace because she isn't an heir.

Hey, just wanted to say that this is fantastic, one of my favourite legacies to read!  :D Would you mind if I also did a family tree for my legacy? I didn't want to go ahead and steal the idea before asking you.

Thanks so much! And, as Wiry explained, family trees are pretty common, so I don't mind at all!  :)

Sad Life
« Reply #157 on: June 26, 2013, 03:32:09 PM »
Grace had a sad life, but she had known no other so she didn't even realize how sad her life was. Every door leading into the main house was locked against her, and she wasn't allowed to use the pool or anything in the backyard. She was so exhausted at school every day that her grades never shifted.

Actually, Mist wasn't even trying to be cruel most of the time. She simply ignored her daughter's existence, and, as with Wogan, saw her as a pet. Amusing at times, but Mist didn't like animals, so she just gave her food every day and let her out every once in a while to use the bathroom.

Really, her own interaction with Grace was to leave the garage door closed during the day, so it was boiling hot, and open at night, to let the cold air keep the girl freezing. After all, Mist was fiendishly delighted by the misery of others.

Grace was fed the leftovers of Wogan's meager meals, usually after they had been rotting for a week or so. Mist had to have some fun with the kid.

The evil mastermind was far too busy having the time of her life to bother with her daughter, who was no more than an ugly little dog in her mind. Wogan was more attentive than ever, and she was beginning to genuinely enjoy being married, especially now that they were living in the biggest house in the city.

Her primary focus, as always, was being the spider of the city. She was surrounded by strings, and pulling on each one to carefully form the perfect web. And one pattern had been completed with the birth of Elvira's child . . . Benito Slayer.

She called Obsidian to her shoulder. The dragon was her only confidant and advisor, her partner in crime. When holding him, she felt stronger, more powerful. And now she was going to use that power.

He faded away into the morning light, and Mist checked her watch. Time to pay a visit to her dear little sister.

Grace is a cutie, even with her head shaved. I wonder what SHE could represent...
Maybe I'm getting a little too into this, but school's out for me and I don't have much to do.

Lucky! I'm out of school, too, but my parents think I should do stuff.  :(

Retribution
« Reply #161 on: June 27, 2013, 04:48:50 PM »
Mist glanced disparagingly at the house where her sister's family now lived. Quaint little house, rosebushes, cute little mailbox--how adorable.

No one answered the door, but any criminal mastermind with half a brain can break into a one-story house with no laser defense, or with laser defense, really. She found a wailing toddler on the floor and, being the child's aunt and stepmother, decided she was entitled to a little candy.

Jamie Moonstone. Child of Melody Moonstone . . . and Wogan, Mist's husband. Bronson and the readers don't know the full story.

Wogan went to the Moonstone-Littler household that day on Mist's orders, to meet her sister Melody. However, Mist gave him additional commands . . .

. . . to seduce and impregnate Melody, for a purpose that would be disclosed later.

And so Melody gave birth to Jamie, and realizing her sister's nefarious intentions she moved in hope of escaping further retribution. But Mist wasn't done punishing Melody for trying to become heir. Not even close.

Obsidian cast the Phantasmal Curse, forcing Melody to become a half-dead monster.

Now there was just one loose end to be wrapped up--Elvira. Sure, she and Mist shared a child, and there would soon be another, but that wasn't enough for the ancient vampire. There had to be some other way to confirm their alliance. Something to lull Elvira into complacency, so Mist could strike at the most opportune time. She was reassured, for now, but there had to be something more.

As always when trying to plot, Mist visited her daughter in the garage and added something a little extra to her nightly meal.

Then the kid had to go and vomit outside by the pool while serving Mist her cocktail. Somehow, this was what gave her the perfect idea. A failsafe to placate Elvira so Mist could strike without warning.

She summoned her husband from their bedroom and whispered the plan. Not the entire plan, of course--just what he would have to do. Mist trusts no one, not even her completely subdued husband. Besides, Wogan was stupid enough that he could spill to anyone.

Oh, poor Grace! I hope Wogan turns out to be smarter and less brainwashed than Mist thinks (just for the purposes of drama), but I expect Mist is too clever to have let that happen.
