I'm amazed that I can keep up with just so many characters so well!  You're doing a great job of making each one an individual

Wow, everyone is just so forward!  lol, it's great!  All the drama!  Heh... I'm afraid to ask what their reputations are at...

Bridgeport, people. It's a different world  ;)

The girls are loads of fun to write, and I pretty much ignore the boys then kick them out. They do all  develop quite distinct personalities.

Right? Remember when Melody was an adorable little toddler . . . sigh. And now she's all grown up and saving China . . .

True Maturity

Melody's relationship with Bronson is going well. She's over at the Littler mansion every day, and I honestly neither know nor want to know what they're up to. I trust Melody--she used to be unreliable, I know, but between Matt and her run-in with Matthew Hamming, she's matured a lot in the past year.

The other night, she took Bronson to the place they first met: the seedy parking lot behind the movie studio. There, she got down on one knee, looked up at Bronson, and proposed with the ring she had bought by selling all the furniture in her room.

It was incredibly difficult to find a venue in Bridgeport that wasn't gray and graffitied, but I managed to rent out a far-too-expensive park. The high fee was worth it to see my beautiful daughter standing in front of her wedding arch.

Guests began to arrive at seven--friends, family, and the undesirable.

  "Mr. Hamming."

"Melody Moonstone, what a pleasure. Congratulations on your engagement.  I don't suppose your . . . " he glanced around, nervous, ". . . family is here?"

"No, my sister is coming with Finale and Matt. Finale is my little sister, and Matt is my son with Bronson. If you don't mind, Matthew, I think you should leave now--this wedding is for friends and family only."

"Mrs. Moonstone? I'm Leo, Leo Buck--I don't know if you remember me. I fixed your dishwasher the other day."

  "It's Ms. Moonstone, Leo."

"In that case, would you like to go out for a drink sometime?"

The ceremony was short and sweet, with both young people speaking their vows and slipping rings onto each other's fingers. Melody had already arranged to move in with Bronson directly after the wedding. Matt decided to stay behind, with his best friend and aunt.

When the newly wedded couple kissed, it was easy to forget about the fact that my little girl was leaving the family, and just be happy for Melody. I am so proud of the beautiful, talented woman she has become.

Matt sighed happily at the final kiss of his mother and the man he thought was his father. "Isn't it just so beautiful?"

"Ugh, I swear you're turning into a girl more and more every day!"

  "Am not!"

Mist hung back--she doesn't like expressing emotion when it comes to her family members. She also met an all-too-familiar vampire, William Fangmann, who she felt an instant attraction to. Like her mother, she has a definite thing for vampires.

I spent the rest of the evening dancing with Leo Buck, the humble and handsome repairman. I wouldn't mind dying an old maid, but Leo really is a sweet guy. Maybe I've finally healed enough to have a real relationship instead of infrequent flings.

At least, until William Fangmann hypnotized my daughter and I had to drag her away before he drained her of blood. Mist might not officially be the heir, since Finale is still in the running, but I can't allow her to become a vampire unless it's been confirmed that she has lost.

I'm trying to hack your poll to make Finale the heir, but it was only four days ago that I learned what the Alt key does, so.... Yeah, you're probably safe.

I love vampires in Sims. They're just so fun to play!

Congrats to melody!!

I'm happy for her, because she fell for Bronson, who is nice and has a very large house  ;)

Haha, you two might be pleased to know that there will be another poll when Finale is old enough to be a contender. I like her very much, but that decision will be left to you all!

When Finale isn't ribbing Matt for "acting like a girl/princess/fairy princess," she pursues her love of art on the old easel in the kids' room. She has quite a talent for it, and Matt is scared enough that he doesn't make fun of her for enjoying painting.

"Ally, can I please have a turn on the rocking horse?"

"Sigh . . . fine. Right after i catch these bandits!"

It really is the strangest thing: listening to them, one would expect that they disliked each other, but it's completely opposite to that! Matt may be Finale's verbal punching bag, but he didn't move with his mom because she begged Melody to let him stay. They're the best of friends, and if you go look for one you'll find the other.

My relationship with Leo is . . . commencing. We're both the old-fashioned sort, so we're going very slowly. I believe we've gone on three dates so far, one outside my house, one inside my house, and one at Waylon's Haunt.

He threw me this really great surprise birthday party down at the bar, and was thoughtful enough to look up all my children and invite them! Leaf was there and told me all about his new job as an athlete in the Gnome soccer team.

Melody is having a wonderful time being married and is progressing as a rock star. She showed off her musical skills on the bass.

Leo really is the sweetest, huh? We're going steady, but haven't even kissed yet. I appreciate his efforts to move slowly, but at the same time I felt so happy that I glanced down, waiting to lean forward and kiss him . . .

At that exact moment, everyone erupted into cheers and noisemakers as I felt my age catching up to me!

"I wish I'd had the chance to kiss you while I was still young."

  "I think you're beautiful, Cassie."

I hurried home to clean up with a bottle of hair dye. Overall, I think I'm still looking quite good for an older lady. After all, being elderly gives me a chance to explore an entirely new realm of gothic clothing!

Mist hasn't been around the house recently--I assume she's on the hunt for spouse material. She's going to need to find a strong man to keep up with her if she wants to win the heir poll.

"Look, kid, the candy is mine now. Be nice to your future step-mummy!"

"Here's the deal: I'm going to spend the night here, we're going to have fun, then you're going to leave your wife and children and marry me. Got it?"

I'll give Mist credit for one thing: she's very focused. Finale is, of course, much more awesome, but Mist isn't devoid of merit.
