Nymph and Mist
« Reply #16 on: June 02, 2013, 04:51:10 PM »
I woke up in the middle of the night feeling utterly . . . ow.

It certainly couldn't be that I was going into labor--the little girl in the ultrasound wasn't expected for weeks!--but as pain shot through me, I decided to forget what the doctor had said and go with my gut instinct. And my gut instinct was telling me that my gut was screaming.

At last, sparkles surrounded me and I was left holding a beautiful little girl with blue-green skin. Little Nymph.

When Franco finally decided the drama was over and he could wake up, I directed him into the nursery and locked myself in the bedroom--otherwise known as the living, dining, cooking, urinating, and sleeping area-- for the next twelve hours.

Once my nap had ended, I called Franco back in. We're not trying to have another baby--but, who knows? The man is weirdly fertile.

We have all seen this before, right? My vomiting into a toilet is usually the cue for pregnancy, but not this time! The pizza parlor literally just sent out an apology for the not-quite-fresh toppings on its latest special.

I am, actually, pregnant. I just didn't throw up because of it!

This time, I told Franco right away. He was just as excited as me, if a little less nervous, even though it meant he would spend the next few months working fifteen hours a day, just so that we could pay the bills and buy more baby supplies.

I want Nymph to have absolutely everything her classmates will, and to want for absolutely nothing. Franco and I are even talking about sending her to a boarding school once she's older, due to the poor quality of teachers here.

In no time at all, it was her first birthday. I held her up to the cake and laughed as she giggled and blew at the candles.

Franco began to freak out and shout behind me, for reasons I could not fathom. I placed Nymph carefully on the ground, turned to ask him what was wrong--

I raced into the nursery so Nymph wouldn't be forever scarred by the sight of her mother giving birth to her brother--or sister. Franco and I had decided to let the gender of our baby be a surprise. Am I rambling? Do I ramble with pain? No . . .

Nymph grew up with my hair, but she dyed it blue and green to match her skin and favorite color. Isn't she lovely?

Meanwhile, I finally popped out a precious, lilac girl.

I think she's the sweetest, most beautiful little baby girl in the world. She and Nymph are both contenders for heir, since I want a female, colorful heir. Maybe it will be Nymph, the good, if a little insane, sweetheart. Or perhaps it will be my Mist . . . the girl who has been classified as evil.

Purely Selfish
« Reply #17 on: June 02, 2013, 09:22:45 PM »
(I am way, way, WAY ahead in game, so . . . bear with me.)

Nymph loves Franco, and Franco positively worships Nymph! I'm not very hurt by their one-on-one relationship, since I have Mist. Besides, I was best friends with my father growing up, while my older sister was close to my mother, so I suppose . . . I'm Nymph? How strange.

Confession time: Franco and I have been tucking money away for . . . has it been a year and a half already? At any rate, the bank account has been steadily growing, and we were planning on not using any of the extra money until the girls needed it for their college fund.

I was out shopping today for beds--the girls will need real beds at some point--and I just realized that I've been Lunar Lakes for nearly two years, now. And that I was married. With two children and, knowing Franco, another one on the way. I suppose I went a little crazy, because I woke up several hours later with a new bedroom and 700 simoleons in the bank.

I dreaded Franco's coming home, expecting him to be mad. Angry, even. After all, I had selfishly spent the money we had planned to spend on our daughters' education--and on a bedroom, no less! But he just sighed and reminded me that anything we needed would be taken out of our fancy gothic bedroom.

Please just be the lunar pizza, please just be the lunar pizza . . .

I hid, ignored, and denied my pregnancy for as long as possible, and refused to change into my maternity clothes until I simply couldn't fit into my regular clothes any more. Perhaps I could have pulled it off with Nymph and Mist, but I seemed to balloon right away with this one.

This was for a multitude of reasons:

  1. I simply could not accept that I was soon to be the mother of three, and close to my adult birthday. It seems just yesterday that I was leaving my high school graduation ceremony and jumping onto a plane back home!

  2. I was worried that Franco would have a mild/major breakdown.  He's seemed a little highstrung lately, with all the late hours working. Sometimes he doesn't even come home because he falls asleep at the salon, or comes home wearing completely different clothes than the ones he left the house with!

  3. This is the one I didn't really want to mention . . . pure selfishness. The money for the new baby's crib and bed would have be made by selling off furniture from my new bedroom. And my bedroom is the only place in the house that reminds me of home! No, that is not going.

Still, even with Franco working nonstop and hallucinating from coffee, he had to notice my sudden weight gain at some point . . .

I've always wondered why people have a ton of kids in legacies, and now I know why: it's so fun! Don't know why it's fun. But it is.  ;D

"Flowers?" I gasped, unable to keep from smiling.

"Of course! What else would I get for the most wonderful, beautiful wife in the world?"

I can't believe how ridiculously nervous I was about telling Franco that I was pregnant. How could I forget that he wants to have at least three children? Sure, we're a little young and penniless to be parents of three, but why not just leap without looking?

Mist aged up into this most perfectly adorable little toddler! Her favorite color is obvious, and she's thinking of dying the purple stripes in her hair pink instead.

I hate to say that I have a favorite child. Nymph and Mist are both such precious little girls, how could I choose one to be first in my heart? But . . . Franco has Nymph, and I have Mist. It's a system that works.

It's no huge surprise, either. Nymph looks exactly like Franco, and Mist looks like me, with Franco's beautiful blue eyes. She's just so, so, so perfect.

In all of this scrambling to train the toddlers in their skills, I gave birth to our first little boy, the same color as Nymph. It was very easy to come up with a name for this impish child--Foam.

Nymph celebrated her birthday, and became this sweet, lovely girl.

Even though Mist is much younger than Nymph, I let her celebrate her birthday on the same day. Franco says I'm spoiling her . . . and maybe I am, but who cares? It's not like I'm getting her a pony! (Unless she wants a pony, then we'll see.)

Nymph begged us to let her attend the School of Peace and Love, where she'll be able to learn in a warm, loving environment with little girls who share her interests.

Mist flatly refused to go with her sister to "Hippie School," and instead pointed out the Fort Starch Military School. Perhaps it is a gray fortress with storm clouds and lightning, but she certainly seemed excited to go.

They both turned out very well, indeed! Well, it IS called the "School of Peace and Love" and Freddie Classic went there.

I'm having lots of fun playing! And just wait until they're teenagers.

Winter Fun
« Reply #24 on: June 03, 2013, 09:26:46 PM »
(Again, I am incredibly ahead, so . . . again, bear with me!)

You truly must be kidding me. I would love to delude myself into thinking I'm vomiting every four hours due to food poisoning, but past experience is very much outweighing that beautiful daydream.

\

Foam popped right up into a cute little boy with my hair, colorful green-blue skin, and Franco's eyes and mouth. He's very adorable and spends hours in his room playing "Catch the Bandits."

A dusting of snow covers everything in Lunar Lakes this time of year, and we spent one gloriously happy afternoon hanging lights all over the roof--which took more time than expected. We have a very odd roof.

I also received confirmation from the doctor and changed into my maternity wear right away. It seems that, with every pregnancy I have, I get bigger and bigger!

Franco was, of course, ecstatic. I suppose he won't be so happy when I tell him that, after I give birth, we will only be Woohooing one time every week. He simply can't help being strangely fertile.

The next few days were filled with Winter Fun, pure and simple. We built snowmen . . .

. . . and Foam insisted on going to the Memories of Sunset Valley Winter Festival! I believe he did so only to try out the new snowboarding half-pipe.

Unfortunately, pregnant women can do nothing at a festival, so I spent the day dancing with Franco. Not a bad way to spend a winter afternoon in a dome, all in all.

Afterwards, I made the boys come with me to the Memories of Hidden Springs Park. Foam climbed on the bridge and in trees, insisting that we would only be kissing the entire time. He wasn't completely wrong.

The next morning, Franco dropped Foam off at the Sekemoto house on the way to Amelia Loveland's. Foam and Kristofer hit it off right away, and he slept over there before I dragged him home by his cape.

Wait--where did this baby come from?! Oh, right. It's mine. Welcome, baby Melody Moonstone!

Busy Days, Quiet Nights

First Franco celebrated his adult birthday in the old bathroom (which we finally can afford a light for!) while I cheered him on, still in my maternity wear.

We both may have had a slight Mid-Life Crisis, but fortunately kept from making any drastic changes. Franco started working more and more, if such a thing was possible, and I changed my hair from the awful style I aged into back to the original.

Snowflake Day soon arrived, and I received an unusual gift in the  mail. Her name is Katherine, and she's purple--just like me! I love spending time with the little dragon, talking to her or summoning my friends for a quick chat.

But, perhaps the nicest gift of all: the girls came home for the holidays!

Mist beat her sister to the dresser, and immediately replaced the purple streaks in her hair with pink ones. It suits her perfectly, I think, and she's certainly a stylish young lady!

She's turned into quite the goth-enthusiast, just like me. I'm so proud of her, I don't know where to begin! Her time at military school made her very neat, always making her bed and tucking her things away.

Nymph, on the other hand, is still the sweet, slightly "off" little girl she was before she left. Sadly, they both left for their boarding schools right away, believing that they would be happier with a higher education.

Fortunately, we had a little ray of sunshine in the sadness of my girls leaving--Melody. She has lovely, light brown-red hair and loves the color blue. I can often hear her banging away on the xylophone in the nursery.

I must say that even the thought of my little girl aging up and leaving me is stressing me out! That's why Franco and I decided to have another go at this crazy experience of parenthood. Thank goodness for boarding school!

The next eight months of pregnancy were happy ones, indeed. Franco was making money at the office and sending it home, to expand the children's bedroom and even build another bathroom! I had my Melody to fill my days and snuggle with at night.

As usual, Franco rarely came home--with all his working overtime and sleeping at the office--but he called me every evening to remind me that he loved me, and that he was doing all of this work for our family.

When he did come home, he was still the wonderful father and husband that he had been for the sixteen years that we were married. He raced into the nursery to toss our little girl in the air . . .

And reminded me of my reasons for marrying him.

Everything was just . . . wonderful! I had Franco, I had Melody, I had daily phone calls from the older girls and Foam, who had decided to go with his big sister to the School of Peace and Love.

Then Melody turned into a beautiful little girl, and she went off to the LeFromage School of the Arts. I hated to see her go, but there was something nagging me, in the back of my mind. Something I had to deal with, but couldn't with my baby Melody around.

It began when I decided to go see my friend Amelia, to tell her about Melody's birthday and my own pregnancy, and discovered she was pregnant! I laughed about it with her, and we took turns feeling for kicks on each other's stomachs.

I asked who the father was, since I hadn't known she was dating anyone, but Amelia said that I probably didn't know him anyway. We enjoyed speculating about how our children might date someday, since I was having a boy and she a girl, but then it was time to leave.

After eating quickly at the diner, I wondered if Franco was home and quickly hurried over. I had told him that I would be sleeping over at Amelia's, but she had an appointment with the doctor that coincided with my visit.

So, I fished around in my pocket for the keys, stuck one in the lock, and opened the door . . .
