Origin Help, Please

I found an old topic, but did not answer my problem.  I hope it's OK to start a new request.

I was playing Simcity when I was suddenly disconnected.  I tried to reconnect and got the message "Please log in"  when I tried nothing happened.  So, I decided to play The Sims instead.  Unfortuneately, I found I was asked for my password which was odd as I have remember me and keep me logged in ticked.  I entered my password and got the invalid password message.  I then selected the option to retrieve the password, I thought I may have actually forgotten what I had used.  I completed the request and got an error message back - could not connect to server.

So, I am locked out of both Sim City and The Sims.  I cannot log into Origin and I cannot request a change of password, or access Origin Help.  Please, does anyone have a solution?

I can not log on to the ea website either, I tried to log on to origin and it says "service temporarily unavailable" so I guess they are experiencing technical difficulties.

Make sure you're internet connection is good.  Other than that, just try again later and see if it works.

Hi I had the same problem last night 11.30pmGMT (I live in England) I have just gone to Sims 3 community (9.44gmt) and could log on
So maybe they were having a problem I hope you get sorted out.

I have had the same problem for almost two weeks.  Not sure what the problem is, but I hope they get it fixed soon.

Well, 2 hours later I could log on again. But I know there were many people experiencing the same problem. I heard someone say they might be doing maintenance on the site, so that could be a reason.

There have been big issues all over twitter from EA saying they are having Origin issues and are working on them. 

As of last night they said everything was resolved in a tweet:
