Two Issues!
« on: May 24, 2013, 04:26:45 PM »
I have two issues that I'm hoping somebody here knows the answer to; I've posted them to EA, and we all know how long it takes for them to get back to us, aye?

The first issue is with uploading content to the exchange. No matter what I try to upload, be it homes, sims, or patterns I have created myself in CAP, no matter how many times I try, what day I try on, even if I'm standing on my head and whistling Dixie...

Every single time I get "Upload Failed: Server Error. Please try again." And it's not even a pop-up message like the image seen here; rather I just get a circle with a red line through it. The error message shows up when I hover over the icon.

I run no mods, and the only "custom content" I use is a handful of patterns downloaded from the exchange. The most recent endeavor, however, is one that I created using photoshop; it is entirely mine.

How can this be fixed?

The second "issue" is less of an issue and more of a "how can I." There are two computers in the house; Sims is installed on both. However, I've purchased  a lot of store content, and we can only download it to one computer. The other says something like "Cannot connect to EA Download Manager" or something. And nothing we do fixes it.

Is there a folder that I can stick on a thumb drive so that, the times I have to play on the other computer, I have access to all my stuff?

Issue one - I have no ideas  at the moment sorry.

Issue two - The downloads folder in your Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 folder holds everything unless you delete it from the launcher.   Being unable to connect to EA Download Manager sounds like an outdated version of Origin.  Make sure that it's up to date and you're both not trying to sign into the same account.  You do need to be signed into the correct account in Sims/Origin to download stuff from the store though.
