Oh.  I didn't get the limited edition.  Is there any other way to get the mask?

Unfortunately, no. :( At least none that I've heard of.

These outfits are fantastic! And the way you're introducing each one is fun as well. I am feeling attracted to these characters and look forward to seeing what they do next!

CHAPTER SIX – GRADUATION

It rained the day that Brendon and Sanchera graduated, producing a gorgeous rainbow. Everyone searched the grounds, looking for the pot of gold, but had to give up when it was time to leave. (That's Elf-School in the lower left-hand corner, just to the left of the rainbow.)

“Leprechaun gold doesn’t last anyway,” sniffed Aubria.

“And what do you know about it?” said Deannin.

“I read it in Harry Potter,” said Aubria.

“You still read Harry Potter?” scoffed Deannin. “I gave those books up years ago.”

Aubria and Deannin might be friends if they didn’t spend so much time quarreling.

Aubria: “Sea monster in the fish pond! Haha, made you jump!”

Deannin: “That is so lame. And childish. And you know what else – you’ve got freckles. No real elf has freckles.”

   Aubria: “You take that back!”

Ignac: “Just sitting here quietly, doing my homework, minding my own business.”

And just when you think they’re enemies for life, they decide to have a water balloon fight.

At graduation, Sanchera was named Valedictorian and Most Likely Never to Leave the House. Brendon was named Most Likely to Fulfill his Lifetime Wish.

The next day Ignac had his birthday. He added a love for the outdoors to his traits and picked the wish, Living in the Lap of Luxury.

Here is Ignac’s everyday outfit:

This is his formal wear:

“It’s so unfair,” Deannin complained to Hamish while they played chess. “If Ignac had only waited a day to celebrate, then Aubria and I could have had our birthdays, too, and we could have graduated together. But instead we have to go to his graduation on Friday and then wait the whole weekend, plus Spooky Day, before we can get our cake.”

Hamish had to admit she had a point. He wasn’t looking forward to three extra days of Deannin’s mood swings and Aubria’s pranks.

“This way you can still go trick-or-treating,” he suggested.

Deannin rolled her eyes. “Aubria might be interested. I’m not.”

After Ignac graduated as Valedictorian, he went to the library to read up on gardening.

Watcher: “Um, Ignac, you do realize it’s 34 degrees Fahrenheit outside, not 34 degrees Celsius?”

   Ignac: “Point being?”

   Watcher: “Never mind.”

CHAPTER SEVEN – A TRIP TO CHINA

The problem with going to China on your own is that the Watcher comes with you.

Watcher: “Push, push. That’s a pushable statue, so push!”

Brendon:  “Didn’t the ancient Chinese know about wheels?”

Watcher: “Break that rubble, break that rubble!”

Brendon: “At least it’s not as bad as pushing those statues.”

Watcher: “I hate to tell you this, but…there are a few more statues to push.”

Watcher: “Dive.”

Brendon: “No. I’m hydrophobic, don’t you remember?”

Watcher: “You have to dive to complete this tomb.”

Brendon: “Plus, I’m wearing armor. I’ll sink to the bottom and never return.”

Watcher: “No, you won’t. It’s made out of pixels and not heavy at all.”

Brendon: “But it’ll rust.”

Watcher: “Pixels don’t rust. Now, DIVE!”

Watcher: “Now that you have some money, you can go buy a training dummy and board-breaker. And after that, we’ll go to the Phoenix Martial Arts Academy, so you can start picking up some points.”

Later…

Brendon: “Ow! Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Isn’t there an easier way?”

Watcher: “Well, there is a book you could read…”

Brendon:  “Lead me to it!”

Watcher: “But then you wouldn’t have enough money to buy a shower-in-a-can. And besides, it isn’t any fun watching you sit and read a book.”

Brendon: “I wear the Mask of Pangu! Evil-doers, beware!”

Watcher: “Okay, it’s time to go home.”

Brendon: “But I was just starting to have fun.”

Watcher: “It’s Spooky Day, and I need to check on Aubria and Deannin.”

Bert Alto: “That’s an adorable costume you have on, little girl.”

Aubria: “Just give me the candy, you creepy old man.”

Bert Alto: “I’ve been giving away fistfuls of Simoleons, but all I have left is candy.”

Deannin: “That’s okay. I’ll have a surprise for you.”

Deannin: “Stand back while I throw this egg!”

Aubria and Deannin: “No more lessons, no more books! No more teacher’s dirty looks!”

   Meanwhile, back at the dormitory…

Brendon:  “This shower-in-a-can is great! A technological marvel! Watcher, you’re the greatest!

Watcher: “I know.”

Ignac: “What is that? I don’t like it. It’s scary.”

Watcher: “Relax. It’s the relic Brendon brought back from a Chinese tomb. It’s supposed to be a lion, which is a member of the cat family.”

Ignac: “Tomb? Lion? I want to sleep somewhere else.”

Yeah, he is a bit creepy. But then she went out as a PlantSim to an old man's house, so I don't know what she expected.

Both of Bert Alto's comments came from the game's pop-ups -- the one Aubria got was fine for a kid in a bee costume or something, a little inappropriate for her.

Well, of course you'd feel for him, Mom.  ::) How many kids are in the house right now? Five? Seven? All of them?

I'm really liking this story. I like all the history and world building you have for the Elves. That's really cool.  :)

Poor Felix, though. He was fun. I hope he can come back to life later on.

CHAPTER EIGHT – THE LAST TWO BIRTHDAYS

It seemed like only yesterday that the elf-teens had arrived, eager to explore the exciting world offered by the school. Now the last two were becoming young adults. Deannin was the first, returning from building a bridge to win the title Captain Bandsaw. She became a genius with a wish to become an astronaut ("I'm going after those aliens who abducted me," she said.)

After having some cake, she picked out a new wardrobe – her everyday dress:

Her formal:

And her athletic wear (not that she plans on using it):

After looking in the mirror, Deannin decided she wanted a different hair-style:

Aubria was the next one, coming home from the Art-a-thon. She added the artistic trait and wished to become an Alchemy Artisan.

Here is her everyday outfit:

Her formal:

And her outerwear:

With no more teenagers around, Hamish found the house settling down. Eventually, the last prank was set off (by Hamish, of course). Instead, everyone was very busy. Aubria sculpted.

Sanchera practiced “The Minute Waltz” on her piano.

Deannin ate a sandwich after repairing the dishwasher.

Brendon used a shower-in-a-can after breaking a few boards.

Ignac studied, outside again, in the snow.

Quiet, peaceful…Hamish couldn’t help worrying that something was about to happen.

CHAPTER NINE – THE FIRST DEPARTURE

Day after day passed, without any disaster. Hamish credited the peace to the snow, which fell without respite. His former students stayed inside and worked on their skills, or hurried off to conduct other business. Ignac either worked on his fishing or read up on gardening.

Aubria finished a large painting and then delivered it to someone in China.

When Brendon gained his last skill point in athletics, he achieved his lifetime wish of Physical Perfection.

He used the points to purchase a dusty old lamp. “If the genie is female, I’ll set her free in my new home and marry her,” Brendon said. “If it’s male, I’ll give the lamp to Sanchera.” Like everyone else, Hamish assumed that either Brendon or Sanchera would be the first to leave the elf-school.

The next morning, Brendon cleaned the lamp. He was astounded when the purple cloud resolved itself into a beautiful blue shape.

“Pleased to meet you, I’m gorgeous,” he said. “No, I’m wow – okay, forget my name for the time being. Your name is…?”

   “Haley,” trilled the genie.

Eventually, Brendon pulled himself together and asked Haley for some money. The 100,000 simoleons enabled Ignac to achieve his lifetime wish, also.

Thereafter, Brendon concentrated on alchemy. He even made a few potions, the most notable being one that produced an opposite trait in a person. He tried it on Deannin.

To the delight of everyone in the household, Deannin was now friendly rather than mean-spirited.

Ignac made a potion, too, now that he had maxed fishing and gardening. He produced a potent skill elixir and tried to help Aubria with it.

“Great,” she said. “Now I have three athletic points that I don’t need.”

“Don’t blame the potion,” said Ignac. “You’re the one that picked up a point in a skill you didn’t need.”

Finally the day came when Hamish had to bid someone farewell. “You have shown tremendous determination,” he said, “and I wish you good fortune in your new town. Remember, you will have some time before another of my charges is sent out to establish a family. Make good use of the time. As soon as you have a child with rainbow skin, pointed ears, and an occult nature inherited from your spouse, you and your family may join me in Dragon Valley. Now go.”

CHAPTER TEN -- HAMISH MAKES ANOTHER SPEECH

“As you know, Dragon Valley has been sighted. When the last of you leaves, I will be free to take up residence there among the elves from whom we have been separated for so long. Even though two of our number have left, there is still the possibility that one of you will be able to bring your family there. Neither of them has yet fulfilled the requirement to produce an heir with rainbow skin, pointed ears, and an occult nature inherited from his non-elf parent.

   “Ignac Jungbloddin went to Riverview…”

Ignac:  “You look familiar. Don’t I know you from somewhere?”

Hunter Cottoneye:  “You may have read about me on the Forum.”

Ignac: “No, that’s not it.”

“His amorous advances were rejected by Elaine Joy.

“Ignac took an Opposite Personality Elixir, and became a nurturing supernatural fan who hates the outdoors in addition to being a slob and excitable. He then set about wooing Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes.

“He fared better with Meadow, and she agreed to become his girlfriend…

…but not his fiancée.

Ignac still needs to obtain some sort of elixir to transform Meadow into an occult, and of course, he still has to marry her and have a child.”

Hamish cleared his throat. “The next elf I sent out was Brendon Cortney. He went to Monte Vista, where he discovered that the genie from Hidden Springs did not follow him.

Nevertheless, Brendon managed to persuade the young woman who did come out of the lamp to marry him. Her name is Kimberley, and she is flirty, mean-spirited, grumpy and a workaholic and social butterfly."

("Sounds delightful," whispered Deannin.
"Well, you would know," Aubria whispered back.)

"In due course, Kimberley informed him that she was pregnant.

Unfortunately, the little genie Colin, while an appropriate color, lacks any points to his ears.

“I think it’s only fair to warn you, however, that if Colin is able to get plastic surgery done on his ears before anyone else produces an elf-heir, he will take his place in Dragon Valley with me and his family.”

This led to some consternation among Sanchera, Aubria, and Deannin.

Sanchera was the first to leave the table and return to her study of alchemy.

CHAPTER ELEVEN – THREE LETTERS

When Hamish reached his new home in Dragon Valley, he discovered that he already had some mail. Sanchera, Deannin, and Aubria had all written to him with their news.

He opened the letter from Sanchera first.

Dear Hamish,
I absolutely adore living in Appaloosa Plains. As soon as I arrived, I went to the Equestrian Center and bought a horse named Dapple. She’s a little nervous and lazy, but quite intelligent, a genius in fact.

The day after I bought her, I took her to a horse training session and met Dr. Gavin Pinkerton when we came out. We became friends, and I asked him to move in with me. I also asked if he wanted to become a witch. He obliged, and then he proposed.

Soon after that, I took Dapple to the Equestrian Center to breed. She gave birth to an adorable little foal named Sprite.

A couple of hours later, I gave birth myself.

Elrond is a lovely little elf, but unfortunately has no witchy powers.

I’m pregnant again, but it does seem to me that if you’re going to allow Colin to get plastic surgery done on his ears, that Elrond should be allowed to become a witch. However, if it doesn’t work out, I’m quite happy to stay in Appaloosa Plains and raise horses. Best wishes, Sanchera

Hamish turned to the next letter, which was from Deannin.

Whassup, Ham?

I found me a gorgeous husband, Ciro Perry. He’s a fisherman (and a fairy!)

We have two gorgeous fairy daughters, Moira and Fiona (can’t find a pic of Fiona, but they’re identical so look much the same). They’re fairies with pointed ears, but Ciro’s coloring rather than mine.

Guess that means I’m stuck in Aurora Skies, huh. It’s okay, except everyone asks if I turned blue from the cold, haha. D

The last letter was from Aubria.

“You’ll have an easy time finding a spouse in Moonlight Falls,” you said. Well, guess what. All the men are either married, vampires, or werewolves. All, except Branch, who is really quite sweet.

And now that he’s lost some weight, he’s not too bad-looking. Anyway, after Branch finished freaking out, I had a beautiful little green baby boy – we named him Twig.

No wings, unfortunately – I guess someone else will be spreading elvishness throughout the world.

Take care, Aubria

Hamish shook his head. He’d never expected that all five of his students would fail at their first attempt. That meant he could try, too. He looked around his new house. A meteor had dropped a few space rocks before he moved in. He’d leave them there and see if he could tempt an alien to come for a visit (but not an abduction).

Or maybe he could find a lovely, unmarried elf among the residents of Dragon Valley.
