I just had gone back and looked at his thread and saw how everyone was wondering who my Sims3 site username was.  LOL  Sorry!  I didn't mean to be mysterious.  I tend to go to certain threads here and just notice others from time to time when I have time to look around.

Hate to break it to you Pam, but I'm really not Jamaican at all. I'm palish blond (more than usual for guys since we get darker hair with age (relatively speaking), though not as platinum as very small children and poorly bleached hair have, but as close as an adult can ever have), white-skinned and blue-eyed with short hair.
Actually, the first sim I made with the Sims 3 was made to look like me. Look here below from his wedding pictures (just imagine him with a better chin, more human and smaller nose, better eyebrows, without the ugly moustache and slick-back haircut, but the basics are there!).

Oh yeah, I managed to recover my account after a year and a half without it (and now I've started to download free stuff from the store) and for anyone who wants to know, my account name is birvar on the Sims 3 site.

Hey Leto thanks for the reminder about where the word Hydra came from.  I remember Gene Simmons told about it when he chose the name for his company (Apprentice) but I couldn't remember what he said and I always forget to look it up.  LOL  We just thought it was a cool name at the time.

Yeah, it is a cool name. It somehows reminds me of a snake. My own name came from the same mythology. That said: there was a person with the same name, originally my name came from Dune. Otherwise I was named after a woman...

I wondered about the Dune thing! And I think hydras are reptilian, so that could be why you think of snakes. I bet they never give us snakes for pets. Then again, I feel rather sorry for them shut in glass tanks, and though a constrictor might enjoy having the run of the house, the other Sims within it would likely be horrified.
