Alphin's grown a pair! It's nice to see him finally growing into his hair.

All Alphin needed was a great role model...like his Uncle Breagadoir.  I even had Alphin go with the long jacket to mimic Bregadoir's look.

The Elven Town Jump-The Family Outing

Caoin had been trying to learn the intricacies of inventing so that he could invent a time machine.  Unfortunately, things went hideously wrong for him.  Now, after his failure and demise, the exact object he'd desired arrived right behind his workshop.

This time machine, however, was not there to be a benefit to his heirs.  Rather, it was to benefit the heirs of another.
Two of the individuals who exited the time machine went straight into the home of Caoin's heir.

"Hey there, cloth boy," Lea greeted the imaginary friend.
"Wait...you can see me?" Patches responded in utter shock.  "How is that possible?"
"We're from the pantheon of Greek gods," she explained, failing to mention the spell Breagadoir had cast on them before they left.  "I'm Aphrodite and he's Cupid, right honey?"

"Sorry, what?" Aeric responded.  "Oh, that is, yes.  Yes I am. We are, I mean."
"We've seen how tormented you are by your desire to be with your lady love," said Lea, "and we've come to help."
"Really?!?" asked Patches, excitedly.
"Of course," replied Aeric.  "Just step on over here and we'll give you the elixir of life."

And as the magic swirled around the imaginary friend, Lea mentioned, "You might need to get the other fellow out of the way."

"Yes," agreed a now-human Patches, "I most certainly will."
And with their work done, Aphrodite and Cupid walked off to enjoy some privacy in the time machine.
Meantime, in Caoin's workshop,

"Uncle, you've seen better days," Diahl greeted Caoin's grave marker.
When the ghost of his uncle refused to respond, Diahl continued speaking.  "I just stopped by to check in on you.  I imagine some travel would be good for your spirit.  Speaking of spirits, I haven't introduced you to my wife, Nicky."

"She's a ghosthunter," he finished with a smile.
"Come along now, Uncle Caoin," said Nicky, with a wicked smile, "I have some lovely spirits and specters just waiting to eat...I mean, meet you."
And on the subject of unruly ghosts, an interesting scene played out outside of the workshop.

Charmaine was heading out to mourn her late husband when she spied a little elven-fairy hybrid child.
"Whatever are you doing out here," she asked the child.
"Standing guard," replied Persephone.  Persephone then went into attack mode.

She's very protective of her daddy.

And Charmaine is fairly traumatized.

"Come back, I'm not finished with you!" called Persephone to the fleeing figure of the frightened fairy.
And so, with an urn captured, an IF made real, and a fairy traumatized, it seemed like time to head out.

While Diahl's son, Simeon,  had little to do on this particular family outing,

Persephone had enjoyed it tremendously.  In fact, she would have enjoyed it even more had she stuck around for what happened next.
Carl went out to mourn his lost father-in-law,

when an unfamiliar fellow came up to the door of the workshop.

The workshop that was made to be soundproof.

With the door that was locked, and the key that was then broken off in that lock.  With the loss of her father, and now Carl, it's a good thing Heaven will have Patches around to comfort her.
Breagadoir, of course, will take comfort in knowing that the elimination of Carl ensures Caoin will have no suitable second heir, so now there is no chance of any competition.

My main focus is your Ghastly Hallow but I understand why this become your first priority Pippin. I still catch up with this one though so that’s why I don’t make appearance yet and there’s no table of contents to begin with which torment me so much… :P

Your Sims become gorgeous, I see that you playing around with mods lately which were fun, in dynasty we’re bound to the rules to rid that. I see the one with red skin resemble one of Pippins. I love when someone in Imaginary Doll forms, they’re so fun to watch and creepy in the same way.

I also love so many things implemented in your story, so it live the name of your story… so Random:P

So much fun in your story, just like what always Pippin did ;)

I really love that Imaginary Friend doll form so cute and adorable. I don't know why some people say that was creepy! That was racism toward IF :P

Yeah, I've got a few mods going to let me have more Sims in a household and such.
I hadn't thought of it before, but you're right.  Aeric does resemble my Persona.

This is actually the first time I've made an IF into a real Sim.  I think he has a really cool look.  I've generally been impressed with IF Sims in terms of hair and eye coloring, so I agree:  they're not so creepy.

The Elven Town Jump-The Prisoner
« Reply #909 on: December 26, 2013, 11:01:09 AM »

The Watcher was concerned as she walked down the corridor to the subterranean holding cell.  Theodocius had made some claims that seemed to have more merit than she wanted to acknowledge they had.

She gained admittance to see the prisoner easily enough, then she began her interview.

"I hope they're at least making you comfortable?" she began.
"Oh yes," he replied.  "Quite the master suite I've got here.  But enough with the small talk, darling girl, why did you really descend into this pit?  I can't imagine it's simply because of my immense charm?"

"Some of the things you said..." she began.  He waited as she gathered her thoughts, though he was obviously weary.  "Is it true that you spread the information about Prince Caoin's death to the people?"
"How else would they have known?" he posed.  "They have the right to be informed of their future, but my brother wants to control everything with tricks and mirrors so no one notices the smudges on his squeaky clean image."

"He's a good king," she replied, simply.
"Good?" he retorted with a laugh.  "That's a rather relative concept.  Is it 'good' that he encouraged you to have Sotal collaborate with Alainn to kidnap Aeric?  Was it his 'goodness' that has him trying to find ways to cheat rules he set up for his potential heirs?  Is it because of his goodness that he made Alainn's true love crave those magic jellybeans?"
"He didn't do that," she replied, with less confidence than she wished she felt.
"Didn't he?" he asked.  "Did they ever give you any sort of decent explanation for why a Sim who has never been drawn towards such things suddenly was obsessed with them?  Or did they even allow you the chance to wonder about it?"
"That's...it's...that's not true..." she stammered.

"Think what you will, dear girl," he replied, "I'm weary now and must rest.  I think I'll read a bit before sleeping.  You're welcome to sit there and watch me if it makes you feel better."  And with that, he started heading to his bed, so the Watcher simply got up, mumbled a thank you to the elven noble, and then started heading back to the surface.

On her way, one of the guards asked her if everything was alright.  Everything was certainly not alright, but she certainly didn't want to alarm anyone, so she muttered something about being distracted by her own thoughts and kept making her way out.

She was so distracted by her thoughts, in fact, that she didn't even notice the presence of another figure lurking in a darkened corridor.

The captain of the guards walked up to Theodocius' cell and demanded to know what he had said to the Watcher.  He merely turned the page in his book.  The guard was about to get a bit more assertive with him, but then...

it was as if her mind was being overrun with thoughts of some vampiric female.  A vampiric presence that suddenly appeared right before her.

The guards in the main corridor were distracted by the noise coming from the cell area, though they were used to hearing their captain roughing up prisoners, so they didn't think too much of it.

At least, until this happened.

And with the guards out of the way, the three vamps and the elven noble made their way out of the subterranean cell.

"You're quite the woman," Theodocius said to the Countess.
"Yes," she agreed.  "I am."

The Elven Town Jump-The King's Conversation
« Reply #910 on: December 27, 2013, 04:46:02 PM »

"...yes," the King said into his crystal ball, "it benefits us both."

"I may need more benefits," responded a female voice.

"Alright, alright," said the King.  "If you're not wiling to do it simply for a sense of moral obligation, I suppose we can make it worth your while financially."
"Very worth my while?" she replied.

"Indeed," he concurred.  "I can always recoup the expense by taxing my people a bit more heavily."

"So," he continued, "we will arrange for you to travel to where Breagadoir's heir is, as he's foolishly left him alone.  Is there anything else you'll require of us?"

"Just my payment," she replied, a wicked smile spreading across her face.

I love the names that you pick up in this story, some of them are gorgeous, Pippin. You know that I love name that based on... something like that *squeal like a little girl* I just love to see the Vampire eyes glowing, Pippin! I never see Vampire do that before, or I just don't play a lot with Vampires. That was a good scene in the last screenshots before the next update.

And I love how politic blend in your story as well.

Thing that I love in this story is your natural story-telling looks like a novel but it is not. And your jokes never fail to make me smile. I haven’t caught them all (about the updates, but I know someday I will), but that was the impression that I had on my mind not my overall impression.

Hope you’re doing well and your family. I missed the time that when we’re still together with Rosa but I know that everyone busy with their own real life. I know this is off topic, but feel free to ignore to avoid trouble :)

Wish to see another update as well ;)

So many compliments!  Thank you!
Vampires can do the hypnotic gaze and that's probably the glowing eyes you're referencing.  It was a lot of fun setting up the vampire attacks and getting those shots together.  Glad you enjoyed it  :=)

You use the expansion very well, Pippin. Thing that I love is about how you set up all of the scenes, I know that’s not easy with preparing things like that, such a hard work to able create these chapter. *claps hand* I love the entire scene, pretty much described what you said. And the story is getting interesting, next update if you don’t mind ;)

Thanks.  It does take a good bit of work to set up the scenes, but I really enjoying getting good results and hearing that my readers notice the hard work  :=)
