Well, they're not off to Appaloosa Plains quite yet.  Breagadoir and Sotal each have a tiny bit left to finish up their LTW's.  Poor Lana indeed!

The Elven Town Jump-The Proposal and The Progress
« Reply #512 on: July 25, 2013, 11:36:31 AM »

Sotal made a phone call.  He didn't want to.  He wanted to be in an out of the way house with a certain writer.  Instead, he was arranging to meet a vampire countess by the beach.

Meantime, Diahl was on the verge of a breakthrough.  It almost kept him from noticing...

that he was on fire.

Sotal and his date arrived at the beachfront property.

She is rather lovely, he thought to himself.  If I have to be married against my will, at least it is to a lovely woman.

"So," Sotal began as smoothly as he could, "Father informed me of your arrangement, but I still want to handle this proposal properly."
"Oooo, a romantic," she said:  a strange mixture of amusement and intrigue.

"I got you this bouquet of roses," Sotal said, "though they pale in comparison to your beauty."
"And a smooth talker to boot," said the Countess.  "This relationship's off to a promising start."
Sotal smiled in response to that.  He then dropped to his knee and said, "I got you something else too...if you'll have me?"
"Yes, dear boy," said the Countess, with an amused laugh, "I'll marry you."

And as the flames of this relationship were just getting started, Diahl had extinguished his own fire and started in again on his invention.  If this worked, he would finally be able to complete the job his father had given him.  Then he would be free to go work at the Nexus Research Institute.

Is it her face that's lovely, or her feminine charms? ;) She has quite the charms.
I wonder what Diahl is up to. Or, I suppose it's his father that's up to something, Diahl just wants to go research.

She has a pretty face and charms  ;=)  Diahl is going to obediently finish the work his father has given him and it will be brilliant!

What?  Lana seeing both Sotal and Breagadoir?  That would be squicky and Breagadoir never does anything squicky...oh wait, yes he does...

Well I somehow missed quite a lot. Ummm, the mystery is no mystery, and Wiry is not the only one who knows. You have done your foreshadowing well. That was surprisingly generous of Breagadoir, in a characteristically smarmy way. If he is planning to visit Lana, it will have to be against her will, methinks. I like the three brothers. Their roles and personalities are distinct and well-developed.

He might have morals.  Misguided, sure, but they might be in there.

Why, thank you!  I've put some effort into having each of the brothers be a "real" character even though Sotal is more focal being the heir and all.  I find that I like them all for different reasons.
Game-wise, Lana popped a "Hey, we have so much in common" talk box for each of the males in Breag's household, but story-wise, she's all about some Sotal.

There's a difference between morals and regard for the laws of squicky!

The Elven Town Jump-The Bachelor Party
« Reply #520 on: July 25, 2013, 08:28:18 PM »

Sotal and Diahl waited.  The family had purchased the H to the O Indoor Swimming Facility and done a few minor renovations.  It was now ready to be the site for Sotal's bachelor party.

The guests arrived (all female) and began interacting.  Nadine was doing her usual job of observing and taking everything in.

There was one special lady Breagadoir had asked Sotal to invite.  He wanted to be sure he'd get some private time with her.

But it wasn't Faith MacDuff.  It was a ghost.  And a Goth.

"I know how to bring you back," he told her with a charming smile.
"At last," she replied.  And they stepped into the private room Breagadoir had added on to the swimming facility.
Meantime, at the hot tub,

Sotal and Naomi were getting the party started.

Having learned the secrets of a long dead necromancer,

Breagadoir managed to bring Frida Goth back from her ghostly state to the realm of the living.  She was appreciative.

Very appreciative.

While Breagadoir was growing closer to a lady friend, Diahl was following in his father's footsteps.

Although, he was faithfully growing closer to only one woman.

The party dancer was rather star struck by meeting Sinister Pride aka Sotal.

They both left the party early.  Together.

And ended up at his place.  With everyone else conveniently out for the night.

The Elven Town Jump-The Hopeful and Threatening Update
« Reply #521 on: July 26, 2013, 12:37:58 PM »

The Watcher began her update from the point of Heaven's age up to young adult.

"She walked around in her formal wear the whole day since it was such a special occasion," she gushed as if it was her own child.  "After they aged up, Heaven found she had drawn the Perfect Garden lifetime wish.  Having no gardening experience, she turned to the library for help.  Of course, having a fairy mother will help her garden grow."

"Her brother, Virtue, turned his focus towards something other than books."

"And he'll need to put the books down and be more active to keep up with her."

"So," began Breagadoir, assessing the update, Heaven is stuck with a long-term lifetime wish and Caoin is going to get pushed further behind?  You're finally confirming what I've been saying all along:  my siblings don't stand a chance."
"Hold that thought," said the Watcher with a confident grin.

"Alainn's twins aged up and Nieve was free to continue pursuing her writing, but Alphin had something else in mind to pursue."

"Apparently, he and Shanna developed feelings and pursued them rather quickly," said the Watcher, a bit of awkward discomfort in her voice.

"Alainn planned ahead and got her son a built-in spouse," Breagadoir said, a tone of admiration in his voice.  "I am impressed."
"At any rate," the Watcher continued, glee in her voice, "he ended up getting the Bottomless Nectar Cellar lifetime wish."

"They're having a honeymoon in Champs le Sims, France and will simply buy the nectar racks and bottles of nectar to complete his wish.  They'll be done in a matter of three days."
She waited for panic, anger, or some sort of emotional response to this news.
Breagadoir simply walked over to his calendar and circled the day.

I love Alainn's heir's skin color. I think Breag has a pink-skinned child running around somewhere, right?

Oh, you fooled us al, you clever Squirt, you!

Breag has the two green kids (Sotal and Diahl) and Nadine (who is more of a purple-ish blue), and that's it for actual rainbow slider kids.  Beyond that, he has the "flesh tone" kids like Damon and Billy Durwood (Nadine's brother and uncle...squicky, very squicky).
