Nightmare has returned to star in our show!
Or is she running her own show?

Did you mean to leave no words in there?
~Anna
Yep.  It seemed more fitting.  Scheming is done as close to silently as can be managed.

Looks like a nifty bit of schmoozing was employed. A certain explorer seems to be bragging...

I just finished looking at the whole board, its a great story. I'm looking forward to seeing what Nightmare is up to, the blonde guy rather looks like he was just told he has won a prize!

The Elven Town Jump-The Broken Relationships
« Reply #454 on: July 14, 2013, 11:39:35 AM »

Damon called his girlfriend and asked her to meet him at his favorite place:  the gym.

And broke up with her.

While she went off, weeping and ranting, he went into the gym.  He had to prioritize his physique over her feelings.

Meanwhile, Sotal was not at all concerned about Fawn's feelings.
"I know exactly what you did.  I thought you were different than your father.  I thought you were sweet and special," she began.
"I thought you were sweet and special," he mimicked while doing a sock puppet motion.

"You and your father will be paid back for what you've done!" she said, as threateningly as she could.
"You'll forgive me if I neglect to shake in my boots, I hope?" he replied, his voice dripping sarcastic condescension.  "They're new boots and I'd hate to scuff them."
She walked off fuming.
Meantime, back at the gym...

the MacDuff family decided to invade Damon's sanctuary.

And he didn't mind at all.

Damon continues to grow closer to Naomi MacDuff.  Her parents and brothers do not approve of this pairing, but Damon and Naomi don't care.

Sotal has also found a lovely young lady who has caught his eye.

Lana Hancock has attended several of Sinister Pride's shows and is enjoying getting to know the man behind the make-up.

"My dear, you are truly the princess of all that is good and beautiful in this world," he told her.
"Oh, you are such a sweet-talker," she replied.
Actually, I'm wondering if Father will approve, he thought.

Their father was up to his usual fare.  Or perhaps one should say, his usual fire.

"Well, hello again, beautiful," he greeted the red-haired fairy who came running to see what had happened.
"Well, I guess I'll just take care of this mess for you, elf," said Grim, obviously feeling inconvenienced.

But someone was watching as the elven prince spoke words of romance to the fairy queen...

The Elven Town Jump-The Betrayal
« Reply #456 on: July 14, 2013, 11:47:46 AM »

Breagadoir had gotten an anonymous tip about a case he was investigating.  All the clues pointed him to this dark alley.  It was not a place that naturally imbibed a feeling of safety.

The elven prince snuck into the alleyway with no hesitation.  He had no doubts this alleyway held threats, but he knew the threat he brought was worse.

His phone started ringing unexpectedly.  The caller ID indicated it was his one-time lover and sometime protégé, Nightmare.
"You've made lots of enemies," she said as he answered.  "Many, many enemies."

"You offended the fairy king himself.  He knows you've been brazenly messing around with his queen.  And the fairies hold many secrets.  Many dark secrets."
"Is there a point to this?" asked the prince.
"Absolutely," said Nightmare, a wicked glee in her voice.

"The keeper of the dark secrets, your rival Pip Goodfellow, shared a scroll with others you've offended.  Your neglected son, Billy; Beatrice Crumplebottom; Joe MacDuff, whose family you have mistreated in countless ways, and one other..."
"Who's this 'other?'" asked the prince.
"Me."

As the magic wielding trio of Joe MacDuff, Beatrice Crumplebottom, and Billy Durwood began chanting an incantation, and the ground began rippling, Breagaoir simply wondered what he had done to cause this betrayal from Nightmare.

Ground ripple is a result of the chanting.  You'll see why in the next update.  I promise!

I need a pet name for Breagadoir. A slightly degrading one to use when he's being thick. I don't like Dear, Honey brings him closer than is safe, Child is going too far. Breegy? Perhaps, Ma Petite Chou?

As if Breagadoir ever kills anyone.  Oh wait...

He's not "thick," per se.  He's a prince who has always grown up being better than all of those around him and only having his siblings (who he views as simple-minded twits) as his "equals."  That's how I'm writing him, anyway.

And you're doing a fab job! He's flawed in the most perfect way.
