The Elven Town Jump-The Proposal
« Reply #195 on: June 10, 2013, 12:41:01 PM »

"It's time for a change," said Lady VanGould.  "I think we need something even more to distinguish ourselves."
And with that, she and Breagadoir headed to the dresser.

"This should work nicely," she said, admiring her new outfit.  "Edgy, yet with enough light earth tones to accent my pale skin and vampirish terror.  By the way, why is the maid asleep in our bed?"
"Oh, you know," said Breagadoir, "I just try to keep the help happy."
"That's very sweet of you," she said.

Breagadoir's new look was modeled after the attire he'd worn in his homeland.
However, he was less focused on that and more focused on this lovely creature slumbering in his bed.
Breagadoir had heard something intriguing.  His Watcher had made a mistake.  She told him there was a reward.  A reward for something as simple as getting married.  He could have already done that numerous times!  All he needed was a willing young lady...

"So, I've decided it's time to settle down and get married," he told her, when she finally woke up.
"You mean?  You want to marry me?" asked the excited fairy.

"No," he replied, dumbfounded, "wherever did you get that idea?  I'm going to marry Emelie.  I'm telling you because you'll have lots to do with getting the invites mailed out, schedule the caterer, and things like that."
He then turned to the young vampire,

and he said, "You're no Harlequin Goth, but I guess you'll do.  What d'ya say?"

Needless to say, the smooth-talking prince won her over.
He then set to work buying a new property and upgrading it

with a suitable chapel

and reception hall.

"That should about do it," said the prince with a satisfied grin.

"Having a wedding chapel built, organizing a full party, getting married, and all for a dragon," said his Watcher.  "Is this really worth it?"
"Absolutely," he said with a self-confident grin.

I love it! You subverted my expectations twice there! I'm not surprised he would marry for a dragon--unlike his Watcher, it makes sense to me--that's the only reason he would get married, if he had something to gain. For a second I wildly thought he was going to marry the fairy maid but of course not! What a relief! Yes, all in all, excited at this development.

Nice update.

I like the makeovers. I guess since this chapter is entitled, "The Proposal", we'll see the wedding next time ;D

I love sim weddings! Someone always pees, dies, gets into a fight, or barfs. It should be interesting.

Breagadoir, you look smashing, dah-ling!!

I forgot to say: that was some proposal Breagadoir!! Wonderful choice in brides and I look forward to seeing what happens next. Question: Breagadoir...will you take her last name or will she have yours ;)

I'm glad I could keep you guessing  :=)

Well, the wedding will be coming soon, but not in the next update.  The makeovers were an accident.  Some things had become uninstalled by accident, so I just decide to redo them.

Well, she certainly is no Harlequin  :=)  She'll take his last name, of course.  He's the one in charge of this storyline.

Ah, Pippin, you're good at subverting even my expectations. For a split second there, I though Breagadoir was going to marry Dahlia just to upset Emelie  ;D

The Makeovers are nice, I simply don't have the skill to make such good looking outfits  :)

The wedding hall looks brilliant, though I think it being a chapel is hazardous to Emelie, and possibly to Breagadoir  ;)

I suckered you?  Hooray!!!
As "girly" as it may sound, I rather enjoy creating new outfits and designing and decorating buildings.  Glad you appreciate my efforts  :=)

The best ever is the picture where Breagadoir walks away from the maid and is talking to Emilie and the maid is just like in the foreground crying. I died.

Yes, you suckered me. I was played for the fool  ;D

I find you remarkably hard to pin down as a writer. Mark my words though, one of these days I will crack the code of what makes Breagadoir tick  :P

Thank you!  I was soooooooooo pleased with that shot!  Words can not accurately express my pleasure, hence I simply typed way too many "O's."  I also loved the proposal shot right in front of the picture of Harlequin as he tells her, "You're no Harlequin..."

Wonderful!  Then you'll be thrown off all over again because of his heirs  :=)  Mwhahahaha!!  As long as I keep giving you reason to read, that's all that matters.

Breagadoir is eloquent!
Why, thank you!  Not just anyone could have delivered that heart-wrenching proposal!

I didn't even notice that! Awesome Juxtapositioning! Though, we need to get you a wall-sized picture of Harle, I think.

The Elven Town Jump-The Wedding Gift
« Reply #207 on: June 11, 2013, 01:50:12 PM »

"Alainn," said the Watcher, "has gotten another promotion at work,"

"and she has broken up with another partner, so she's gotten closer to her Lifetime Wish," she said, ending her update.
Breagadoir, relieved that the update had ended, chose to go in person to tell young Zoe Durwood about his upcoming nuptials.
"I'll be marrying into a lot of money," he informed her with a smile.

"I like money," she said with a wicked grin.  "Want to come in and say hello to your daughter...and maybe spend a bit of time with her mommy?"
"Sure," he replied with an innocent look, "I have some time to spare."
Meantime, his fiancé was working on his wedding gift.  Namely, terrifying his arch rivals.
She found Beatrice at work.

The Lady VanGould came in pretending to be a customer,

an unhappy customer.

An unhappy customer with fangs.

And her scene was enough to cause poor Beatrice to lose 50% of her clientele.  After all, no one really wanted to challenge the Lady VanGould.
Next, she paid a visit to Belinda...

Nice wedding present. Why haven't the Crumplebottoms split town yet? Their life has to be miserable at this point ;D

Is it fair to ask how far along Breagadoir has gotten on his LTW? I'm starting to get nervous...

Great update!
