"Is this
really the photo on display in your living room?" asked the Watcher.
"Of course," replied the self-confident prince.
"Shouldn't it be a picture of your wife, or at least your son?"
"She's not my wife and she's nowhere near being the woman Harlequin is," replied Breagadoir.
"Well," continued the Watcher, "your brother has proposed. Unlike you,
he knows how to appreciate a woman."
On the subject of unappreciated women, Annalove took her two sons to the Spooky Day festival. While they were there...
baby Damon becomes a toddler. By himself. His father will be pleased that he at least inherited his hair, even if not all of the elven features.
Nightmare continues to enjoy the attention of the MacDuff boys...and man.
"Well hello there, Mr. MacDuff," said Nightmare in a sultry tone. "Mind if I come in?"
"Oh, I suppose I can call in sick to work today," he said with a naughty smile.
And speaking of the MacDuffs, Joanie got a present from her time with Breagadoir: a
human baby girl.
Given that she's not a potential heir, she may never meet her biological father.
This child, however, might in fact be the heir.
"You have clearly elven features, no fairy wings, unfortunately, and we're not sure about magic abilities yet," said his loving father, inspecting the child as if it were a head of lettuce he might buy. "No magic skills wouldn't be a deal breaker, though, there are always potions for that. You're definitely on my short list of candidates, kid."
However, the young prince was still accepting, and creating, other candidates.
Nightmare got a little bit of a surprise while she was at the gym.
"Now Mom's going to be a grandmother," she said. "That will certainly make the hag feel older!"
But she didn't tell the old hag first. Instead, she went in to have some time with her half-brother.
"When you're old enough, you and I are going to terrorize this town," she said to the impressionable young child.
Strangely, the Crumplebottom sisters can't seem to keep a certain elf out of their home.
"Hope your homeowners insurance is paid up," laughed the elf.
"Ahahahaha!"
