Turns out Lucinda has now taken over working at the Consignment Shop. Jersey visited and got to flirt with her, but she just didn't have an option for proposal.
Jersey jogged around the neighborhood for a while until Lucinda's shift was over, then came back and proposed. I'm afraid you'll have to excuse the poor lighting.
The couple married quickly in the Consignment Shop, eager to move on and start their lives together. As soon as they got home, they moved out the elderly Elliot Grant (who Lucinda turns out to have a bad relationship with), redesigned the home a little (which I didn't bother to show, because I changed up some rooms and all but there weren't any DRASTIC changes), and gave Lucinda a makeover. That part I did show, because I'm sorry, but I really couldn't handle the hair she ended up with after reaching adulthood. Her favorite color is pink, but I like the red on her.
Also, before her makeover, I gave Lucinda a Young Again potion. So it is understood, I used Jersey's mostly untouched Lifetime Happiness points to buy two Young Again potions, so he was allowed to take them when he moved.
By the time they were settled in, it was late and the newly married couple went to bed, but not without some
honeymooning.
The next day, Jersey invited Pogo and his wife, Sharon, over to see his new home.
Sharon left soon after arriving. Turns out she took over Lucinda's job as the Consignment Specialist after she got married.
Pogo and Jersey proceeded to go play about the backyard while Lucinda went out to do some shopping.
Well, boys will be boys.
Lucinda started showing her pregnancy the next day, and Jersey met her with plenty of backrubs.
Lucinda's pregnancy went smoothly, aside from the initial morning sickness. I honestly hadn't seen much of her traits before marriage other than "ambitious" and "over emotional". Turns out she's also a loner, natural cook, and has a green-thumb. I expected her to be a little more of a "party mom", but it looks like she's just meant to be a settled down, housekeeping mother. Even without the family-oriented trait, Lucinda received constant wishes to buy things for the upcoming baby and to read pregnancy books, even after she'd already read the only two in existence. She enjoyed visiting the library to read up on gardening, cooking, and parenting.
Well, what else has been going on? Well, a burglar visited the home, allowing me to find out about a weird little glitch with the new house.
As I've posted about elsewhere, the police officer arrived and brought the burglar out to the car... He came back inside to survey the house... Then changed into swimwear.
I thought he might go swimming in the pool in the backyard or play in the sprinkler, but he seemed to change his mind and switch into not his uniform, but general everyday clothes. He proceeded to stroll on out of the house, load the criminal in the car, and drive away.
Well, while it was a strange occurrence, it wasn't
too strange. Until everyone that stepped foot on to the lot, including the mail and newspaper deliverers, went through the same process of changing clothes and running off after performing their duties.
Also, I had Jersey go check on Archer, Shanta, and Molly. Molly's still a toddler; it's only been a few days since she's aged to a toddler, believe it or not.
Archer has become a mayor, and releases the stress of political duties by jumping on the trampoline.
Shanta uses the whiteboard in Jersey's old room (originally for planning sports plays) to give lectures to absolutely no one.
Can you see that new outfit and little bump? Looks like another kid is on the way.
And Lyric and Sandi... Well, they're doing just fine.
