Are those Zelda's eyes? I can't remember what color Sandi's are.

I think Jersey might have a bit more of Sandi that it seems. It looks to me (and I misjudge genetics just as often) like he might have some of Sandi's smaller facial structure. He is adorable either way, of course.

Yeah, I'm not really sure. He is adorable, can't wait to see how he looks when he grows up. :)

Are those Zelda's eyes? I can't remember what color Sandi's are.

And yep, those are Zelda's eyes! I forgot to comment on that, he got his grandmother's eyes :)
Lyric has light brown and Sandi's are a dark green.

Thanks for the comments, guys :)

Update: I have discovered the usage of the tab key for taking screenshots in the game. I feel like I've been lost my entire simming-life before this.

A cute little filler update, since a lot of them are face paced with birthdays and whatnot!

Lyric and Sandi have nice open schedules with Sandi staying at home and Lyric only having to perform concerts on his own terms. Sandi likes to take Jersey down to the library to get him out and around. She insists a studious environment will aid in teaching the toddler how to walk and talk.

Sandi's been dabbbling some more into the logic skill and wanted to buy a chemistry set.

And Lyric... Lyric just thinks the sun rises and sets with his son.

Their favorite game to play together is Attack of the Claw.

And of course he helps out teaching Jersey the basic toddler skills.

What else is up with Lyric lately? Life is nice and easy for him. He's gotten into collecting rocks and gems for some extra money since he doesn't receive an hourly wage anymore.

After mastering guitar he's been interested in learning a new instrument. He's taken a liking to the drums.

And being a rockstar and part of a dynasty doesn't mean he's stopped enjoying the little things. :)

Oh, and just some silly Sim antics for you... After buying an ice cream cone in front of his own house, Lyric hopped in a taxi and drove all the way across town without my guidance...

[/img]

And got out in front of a dance club. It was only about 12 noon, so surely he wasn't going to party...

Nope, another junkyard furniture spawner right in front of The Grind that was placed in the beginning of the game. I have no idea how or why they end up in places like that, but it's right in front of the lot, so even if I cheated I couldn't delete the spawner.

What I find even funnier than the random spawner is the fact that Lyric took a taxi all the way across town to sit in a living chair. Tons of other seats around town and in his own home... But nah, let's sit there. Guess you just have to mix things up sometimes.

Jersey was sent a mysterious toy doll when he was born and now that he's old enough, he spends almost every spare moment playing with it or singing to it. He's named it "Pogo". Those stick legs and the glowing orb above its head are a little unsettling, but the boy and his doll are inseparable.

Next up: A birthday and whatever else ends up happening

And with that, we close with a couple extra shots of our second heir.

This update has been brought to you by the tab key. All hail the tab key!

All hail the tab key! Enriching the screenshots of stories since 2009!  :D

Jersey is a really cute toddler. Does he have Lyric's hair colour? It's hard to tell with his little head stubble, but it looks like he might.

I can't believe I didn't find out about it until just the other day! I feel like I've been reborn!

And yeah, that's Lyric hair alright. :) I was going to make it longer, but something about the stubbly head was cute.

Pogo is a cute name for an IF. I always give my Sims' boring people names. And wow, Jersey is just a whole lot of adorable.

I've never run into the junkyard spawner problem, but that's just too funny.

Jersey is every kind of adorable.

Yeah, I try to get some interesting names for Sims that aren't completely nutty. As for Imaginary Friends, anything goes ;)

I've witnessed it so many times in my games! For me it started after I installed University. I have no idea, but it can be a pain. Sometimes actual junkyards somehow end up overloaded with spawners and it gets so crowded that a Sim can't walk through it!

Soon enough, Jersey's child birthday came up and I cried a little inside because he has to be one of the cutest toddlers I've had. A small birthday party was thrown once again consisting of Uncle Cypress, Aunt Shanna, and a couple other sims.

Lyric was proud to be able to hold his son up to his second birthday cake, knowing he was taught early how to walk, talk and use the potty. Jersey definitely had a good start in life.

And sparkles surrounded him once more...

...Hang on, almost got it...

There he is! In a blue muscleman shirt!

"Can we stop with those pictures already?"

NO, we can not! :D To go with friendly and athletic, Jersey gained the ambitious trait. This boy knows there's a lot in store for him.

The party ended after Jersey aged up and everybody got a slice of cake. While Lyric put away all of the untouched slices of cake strewn across the dining room, Jersey decided to celebrate his birthday with a tea party with his best friend in the whole world, Pogo. He got dressed up in his new formal wear and got some <s>juice</s> tea, but when he came back he discovered something amazing happening. His doll grew and jumped up into the sky,  surrounded by sparkles, much like Jersey was when he aged up.

Jersey's doll was now his height. It-- no, <i>he</i> was walking and talking, but nobody else seemed to notice. No matter, it just made things easier since they didn't have to be explained.

Pogo gave great hugs, told great jokes, and knew all the gossip around town even though he had just now come to life. Jersey was thrilled. And while Sandi and Lyric thought their son's little imaginary friend was cute, they began to think that maybe they should find some real friends for him. He would attend school soon, so no worries.

And that night, with another birthday over, everybody headed off to bed...

But wait!

Another family member is coming.

Jersey aged up on a Friday, so he had a whole weekend to relax and play before he had to go to school. Some time had to be spent being tutored by his mother, though. I was a bit nervous that he wouldn't get honor roll if he wasn't tutored.

He has a very active imagination. He loves his playground in the backyard and his costume box. His favorite costume? The Gargantuan Green Dinosaur.

Sandi and Lyric get a little confused when Jersey talks and rides the seesaw seemingly alone.

Being so close with Pogo, Jersey eventually received an opportunity from scientists offering to make Pogo into a human for the price of a rainbow gem and $4500. I hesitated since Sandi was already working with the chemistry station and raising her logic skill, so it was possible she'd make a potion herself and the opportunity could be saved for a future sim. But I was excited and went through with it because I'd never bothered to go the opportunity route, having always just used a chemistry-table-made-potion instead. When I think hard about it I get frustrated, but that's not what this is about, so moving on!

One afternoon after school, Jersey came home and asked Lyric if he could get a ride over to that strange science facility to give a rare gem and a hunk of money to some anonymous adults he'd secretly been communicating with. Well, sure! Why not??

And after a while, Jersey came out successful with his potion. He interrupted his father from playing the drums in front of the building and they went home.

While her husband and son were gone, Sandi had another accident with the chemistry table. She went to get a shower, but before she could, she went into labor in the bathroom, covered in ash and soot.

Not daring to go to the hospital looking like she was blown up (oh wait, that is what happened) she gave birth alone at home and had another baby boy.

Both parents and myself were looking forward to a girl, but oh well. No watermelons were given to Sandi because for this story I think the surprise genders are fun. At least I won't feel compelled to redecorate the nursery.

Here's little Archer Frio, a friendly and easily impressed nooboo.

Sandi doesn't look very happy covered in that soot, but it all worked out, I suppose. Welcome, Archer!  :D

After a weekend in Baltimore for Otakon, I have returned!
We left off with a new baby and a potion to make Pogo real, so let's get on. :)

That evening after everything settled down a bit, Jersey mixed things back up after he ate his dinner and gave Pogo the potion he received. Pogo drank the bubbling orange potion and was surrounded by bubbles and a purple light...

Pogo ended up darker skinned than Jersey with a maroony-red hair with some black in it. His clothes were gray, contrasting with his colorful hair.

Jersey gave his friend a hug and eventually headed off to bed.

With a full energy bar, Pogo stayed up a while longer to do Jersey's homework for him since he was busy retrieving his potion and never got around to it.

A couple days later, Lyric and Sandi decided that they were much due for a date. They watched their son and that new kid go off to school (notice Pogo's look of absolute disgust, "I just came to life and I have to do this?!")...

A babysitter was hired who spent most of her time on her laptop. Since she was in the extra room with the baby, she actually took care of Archer when he cried. What a concept, right?

Lyric and Sandi went out to Stoney Falls for some private flowers and kissing.

Later on they moved on to the central park and after that they had dinner at the bistro where Lyric received the wrong dish. He stayed quiet and didn't complain, and management realized their mistake on their own and offered him a free perfect-quality baked angel's food cake to take home! :D

While Sandi and Lyric were on their date, Pogo and Jersey behaved well. After school they did their homework at the library, played there for a while, and got home before curfew.

Right after the kids came home, Archer aged up!

He's a cutie. Somehow he picked up black hair, but he got Sandi's eyes (they look greener in my game than here).

The event was celebrated with flaming cake.

All is well and stable in the Frio household. The youngest member of the household is doing fine.

The two older boys get along well with their younger brother and love a chance to visit him.

Sandi's adult birthday came quickly. It was a humble party with just Shanna, Cypress, and the only child or teen girl I've seen so far that doesn't seem to be a newspaper deliverer.

Oh yes, and unfortunately, Cypress aged up to elder... I was so excited over the first dynasty move that I forgot to do something to keep Cypress younger for longer... Well, what can ya do? He's wearing the same dorky spiffy jockey outfit that uncle Jared got when he aged up.

I also forgot to influence any children from Cypress and Shanna... I was so worried about meeting those guitar opportunities that I cut that family a bit short. Sorry, you two. But thanks for all those friend contributions!

Another funny little thing about Shanna... I guess her social self couldn't handle being at home all day without a job. She got a part-time job... At the mausoleum. There won't be a lot of LIVEly conversation there, Shanna! Haha! Ha! Haaa...

..........

Well, Sandi aged up confidently. She knows she's fabulous.

"I'm an independent sim-woman and I don't need anyone to tell me how old I am!"

It was followed up with dancing. Cypress' flirty, charismatic wife must've taught him some of those sweet moves!

Oh, and that girl I mentioned? Her name is Frances Carney. I might have watched her go home.

Come on, come on... You have to have a home... Come on!

Yes!! It's the little old Alvi house, but it's something! At least that means there's at least one known option for Jersey early on. :)

Oh, and later on that same day, it was time for Jersey and Pogo to age up. I would've had them celebrate during the party, but I'm sorry, I refuse to try to organize three birthday cakes in one party.

Awwww yus.
I personally think Pogo looks great in a hipster-ish style. I left out the glasses and skinny jeans, though. They didn't look quite right on him. His eyebrows somehow managed to turn blonde when he aged up, but I fixed them.

Poor Jersey really needed to be done over a bit. I already miss the little toddler and child faces!

I redid him and he doesn't look bad. I think really he just needs to grow into the nose a little, but he'll be fine. :)

And that's all for now! Next we get to see into those precious teen years.
