Confused about enabling aging
« on: May 15, 2013, 08:53:59 AM »
Hi,

I noticed when I've gone into edit town in my game I see new households and families that have had children that I didn't see before so I guess that is story progression that is enabled.  What I want to know if I have story progression enabled and disable aging I'm assuming thats  2 different things because I noticed when I switched to another household for awhile there was a baby that had only one day left till it aged up to toddler.  I always have aging disabled in my games and I age up the babies with cheats.  So if I didn't do that they would always stay babies obviously am I correct?  So other households in the town will just go on with their lives, kids will grow up and sims get married, get new jobs, get fired, etc.  Is that right?  So as long as a household that has twins for example is not my "active" household then will their lives go on as normal and will they age up to toddler, child, teen, etc?

Thanks for your help :)

If you disable aging, it effects the whole town and not just your Sims.  So the game will move out Sims and move some in because you have Story progression enabled but no one will ever age.

Also if you're completely patched up, without help or a mod, Townies will rarely get married and have kids of their own.  Story Progression will move in kids but it won't have any with the Sims already there.
