Wow, Clotho is sooo pretty! She looks just like Hope to me, with a little Chronos.
Is it bad that I'm shipping her and Eros very badly? Also, I'm hoping that Hypnos grows up and has lots and lots of children for future spouses.
Yeah, I was sooo happy when I saw her age up! I was just like, "Holy crap! She's gorgeous!" And yeah, she's mostly Hope, though I think she has her dad's eye shape and his nose. And no, not at all ^^ Wait till you see this update ^^
This is going to be one seriously good-looking dynasty! I'm so happy Ghost Cat is still popping in, things are progressing nicely!
Thank you! I'm so happy with how they are turning out! I can't wait to see the next Gen! They have to be gorgeous too! And yeah, I think it's adorable the Ghost kitty keeps coming out to play lol
Chapter 28: Whiling Away the Winter
As soon as we could, Clotho posed for both her portrait and her sculpture. Her mom sculpted of course, while Aunt Jess painted her portrait. And, like all those who live in the house, Eros also gets a portrait painted, so while the girl worked on Clotho, I took Eros’s portrait.
Wow, sometimes I can’t get over how good my kids are. Soon as they get home, Clotho and Eros sit down and do their homework together and when Hypnos gets out an hour later, he sits down at the table with them. Sometimes, they’ll help him out if he gets stumped and there’s a lot of laughing and joking around. I don’t think I was ever quite that good as a kid.
It makes me really happy and when Hope and I go to bed, and as I fall asleep with my wife in my arms, all I can do is thank the Watcher for what I have.
Aunt Jess is now over 100 and she’s still going strong! She whiles away her days at her alchemy station, often joking that the smoke and fumes help with her longevity. (
Author’s Note: Seriously… she is my longest lived Sim (aside from my Immortal that is XD) that I’ve ever had. I’ve had a few that made it to 100, but only one or two live beyond that. At this point, she’s like 106 or so.)
I still love to paint when the inspiration strikes me. And it strikes me at odd times now and again. I hate leaving a painting unfinished, and I tend to lose myself in it, so more often than not, I don’t eat or sleep until it’s finished.
Eros has shown an interest, and a certain aptitude for sculpting. Right now, he’s working with clay and doing quite well.
Aside from his love of sculpting, and with Snow Flake day coming up fast, Eros volunteered to hang the holiday lights. He thought the blue looked pretty and I have to agree with him. He really is a great kid, very helpful and respectful.
My daughter is becoming quite the chef. Apparently, her love of baking has blossomed into a love of cooking, just like her grandfather. Wouldn’t be surprised to see her go into the culinary career. There’s also been talk of going to college, though she’s not quite sure if she wants to yet.
Eros is more athletically inclined, and I’m pretty sure I heard him mention the military, but they both have plenty of time to decide, so we’ll see.
Well, the inevitable has happened… I was coming down the stairs and just froze about halfway up when I came upon this little scene… It appears that it was my daughter who made the first move (guess I shouldn’t be surprised… Eros is too much of a gentleman!) But it’s very apparent that Eros can’t deny Clotho anything and he only wanted to make sure that SHE wanted it before he said anything! *sigh* Well, I knew it would happen… still, I feel a pang knowing that I’m not the only man in my daughter’s life. My wife laughs at me and just pats my hand in mock sympathy. I say mock, because she remembers how it was for us. I do too, but… this is my daughter! Aw well… I have to say, if she chose anyone, I’m glad it was Eros.
I think my mom seemed to sense the love in the air. She was up in the kids’ room, sitting in the rocker and I could see her grin a little, then her eyes met mine and she nodded a little. I eventually returned her grin and her nod. The cycle was continuing.
Hypnos is taking after me and Hope. He’s found a love of painting. He keeps telling me that he wants to be just like me. I’m always flattered and then I ruffle his hair and tell him he can be whatever he wants to be.
Winter is still in full swing and due to all the snow days, Aunt Jess has been tutoring her grandchildren again so that they don’t fall behind.
Wanting to be helpful again and since they didn’t have school yet again, Eros decided to try and help Mom with harvesting honey. Except… he fared worse than she normally does as the bees didn’t hardly give him a chance before they were attacking! Poor kid…
