I just received an email from EA stating that the official Sims 4 release date will be September 2.  It's coming!  :D

Here's a new trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xZn8XUUat8
Good catch Corey785, you beat me to it (for the curious, that is a new trailer on the official Sims Youtube channel).

Here is another one which captures the Sims 4 portion of E3 (it comes from the Escapist Magazine):

Thanks you all for making sure we're all aware. I can't wait for the new game to arrive, and I even get to have some time off before it gets here :P

This was posted today:

The Sims 4 Gameplay Interview with Graham Nardone

This will need to be merged into the Sims 4 Discussion thread.

Biggest thing I noted was Trait Categories (probably not all of them):

Emotion
Hobby
Lifestyle
Social

Good find Dellena!  Interesting discussion.  I went ahead and merged it with the Sims 4 discussion thread.

SimsVIP was at E3 where a decent amount of information was shared. She's been tweeting like mad. Some of the highlights are:

  • No maternity wear
  • Autosaving
  • A Mac version is in the works.
  • No weather in the base game
  • Babies have legs
  • Connecting to the Gallery appears to be the Exchange -- it's all on EA's Servers
  • The Caliente Sisters are back
  • This is like an "Alternate Universe" for Sims -- it doesn't fit into the current TS3->TS1->TS2 timeline.
  • The world is called Willow Creek and does not feature an ocean. It is currently the only confirmed world.

There are a few other places with initial impressions of the Sims 4, and whatnot.  They do say much the same as one another, but if you are interested, here they are:

First, I want to give Livvielove a major thank you for pointing me in the direction of this information.

The majority of this comes from an interview SimsVIP did with SimGuruGraham at E3.  You can find her interview on Youtube here:
E3 Interview with SimGuruGraham

  • First, each of their new worlds will be comprised of 5 Neighborhoods.  This means there will be a slight loading time going from neighborhood to neighborhood.  Each neighborhood is supposed to have a unique feel.
  • Each neighborhood will also have up to have 5 lots per neighborhood.
  • You will be able to send people to different lots.  You can switch between Sims doing different things.
  • You will have up to 20 Sims per active lot.  This will include the up to 8 you may have from your home lot.
  • Mods won't be downloadable from the Gallery, but Custom Content can be.  You will be allowed to mod the game.
  • You can play offline (you won't have to log in like the last SimCity).
  • Pools are still a no comment.

SimGuruGraham also put something on the EA Forums, expounding a bit on what he said during the SimsVIP interview:

Look for the post by SimGuruSemedi.  It explains a bit more on the districts/zones.
