Prologue: Arrival in Hidden Springs
My name is Gaea Incarnation. And I hear voices… well, actually, just one. Mind you, I don’t have full blown conversations with the voice, but I’ve learned to follow it when it does speak to me. So this is why I’m now in Hidden Springs, far away from everyone I ever knew, starting a new- slightly terrifying- new life.
I followed the voice’s instructions and purchased the biggest property available. So now I own a lot… granted, it’s a pretty lot and has lots of potential. Welcome to my new… home, here at 7 Meadow Beach Dr.
I had very little money after buying the property, so I really only had enough to provide what I call a porta-potty, a table with a chair and a little outdoor grill. Oh… and a sleeping bag. I may love the outdoors, but this is a bit… ridiculous… even for me.
A bit depressed, and not really knowing where to start, I decided to go explore the rest of town, taking a long, leisurely walk. To be honest, I didn’t want to go back to my lot! It was just too depressing. During my walk, I’d wondered up the road a-ways and found two people outside their house talking. Never being shy, in fact, I’m quite charismatic, I approached them, smiling. It was nice to see people.
The gentleman, Nicholas Riverhawk, had to run, but the young woman, Jessica Willows stayed to chat with me. I also found out that Jess has quite the backswing with a pillow. Yeowch!
I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. Jess and I got on really well. We talked and chatted about all manner of things. It was like we had known each other forever. On the spur of the moment, I asked her to come live with me. Jess seemed intrigued by the offer and by the description of my circumstances. I didn’t tell her about the voice, but I did tell her that I was embarking on quite the adventure and she would help build the foundation of something great. Jess said yes. I think she was looking forward to roughing it, honestly.
With the bit of money that Jess brought in, we were able to build four walls at least and a roof. Still VERY sparse furnishings, though. We don’t even have beds yet! That’s ok though, we spent our first night in our little hut on the floor in our sleeping bags and it was actually a lot of fun, at least with someone else to share it with.
I was walking around town once again, getting to know the area when it began to rain hard! Having not thought to bring my outerwear, I dashed across the street to take shelter at this house.
I had only intended to remain there under the porch, until the rain let up, but the nice owner saw me standing on the porch and invited me in. He told me to make myself at home, that he was a bit lonely living on his own. We chatted for quite a while and became fast friends. Then, suddenly… I was kissing him! I couldn’t believe how forward I was! But what surprised me even more was that he wasn’t the least bit upset about it. In fact, he enjoyed it!
I was so excited and not just a little flustered, truth be told… I blurted out my situation to him, talking a little about what I was trying to accomplish.
Surprisingly, he didn’t think I was crazy. He was a little skeptical I think, but he didn’t say so. In fact, he insisted upon moving in with me, saying he wanted to be closer to me. Without either of us realizing it, it had gotten pretty serious, pretty quickly. Well, I couldn’t refuse, so he quickly moved in. Using the money he insisted I take, we added onto the little hut, decorated a little bit. All in all, it was becoming a home. When Ryan saw the easel, he was overcome with longing. Because of his job, he had been unable to paint as he wished. I told him he had to follow his dream. He was ecstatic to be at the easel, paint flying everywhere. It was adorable!
For myself, to satisfy my green thumb, I have a small garden on the side of the house and am enjoying tending it. I add to it when I find the seeds. I’m a bit concerned about when winter gets here. I’m thinking about a green house, but am not sure what to do about that quite yet. We have some money, but are saving it… for emergencies.
Jess has taken up fishing. It’s a passion of hers. I’m encouraging her to take it up. She enjoys it quite a bit. It seems she’s also appointed herself as the cook in the house as well. I’m not very good in the kitchen, so that works for me!
Our house still isn’t quite what I want, but we’ll continue to work on it. I have plans to expand the house, expand the garden. We’ll see how things work out.

I’ve become the handiman around the place, since Ryan is always painting and Jess is either cooking or fishing. The shower in the bathroom is always breaking. I’ve gotten quite good at fixing it, if I do say so myself.
Ryan and I haven’t talked a lot about our relationship. We love each other very much. I’ve been contemplating this for a while now and during a run into town, I picked something up. Ryan was at his easel, like normal when I walked in. I was so very nervous! Imagine, me, who has no problem talking to complete strangers, being nervous! But eventually, I was able to pop the question. Ryan and I plan on having quite the wedding, inviting all the town. Oh, I’m on cloud nine!
