The Lila Legacy | Purpleness for All! | *Graveyard, please*
« on: April 28, 2013, 01:36:06 PM »
Hello,

I'm going to attempt a legacy. I tried one before (included a story here) but it faded away and I forgot about it. I lost the file anyway, so I decided to have a fresh start.

I had a read through the novel that is the Legacy rules and decided that the scoring system just isn't for me. Too complicated. So basically, I've dumbed it down for myself. Here's my fabulous new scoring system...

- You get a point for each generation that is born.

That's it. I'll try and complete lifetime wishes and have each heir max a skill but to me it doesn't really matter. The only reasons that I'd fail this would be if the file corrupted or if I cheated (which I won't do, I promise!).

Chapter One

Meet Maria Lila, my pretty, purple founder.

Her traits are Neurotic (family trait), Hates the Outdoors, Virtuoso, Never Nude and Vehicle Enthusiast.

I plopped her down into Appaloosa Plains, onto the largest empty lot in town. She's near broke, but that's what it's like when you're a legacy founder!

She heads off to the theatre to join the music career, so that she can complete her lifetime reward of rock star.

She calls her new boss, Johnny Johnson, and they agree to meet up in the local dog park (despite neither of them owning dogs).

And here's the man himself, Johnny Johnson! Not too bad, eh?

Haha, Skedaddle the Horse certainly knows how to photo-bomb! Get out of my screenshot!

It looks like Johnny can have a very in-depth conversation about the colour grey. Honestly, if somebody was that enthusiastic about the colour grey in real life then I'd think they were a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic, but Maria doesn't seem to mind.

Maria: You're a great friend, Johnny!
Johnny: So are you, Maria!

Maria: So, Johnny, do you want to move into my empty field house? It's got, um, loads of... space for you and your horse!

Johnny: Yeah, I'd love that!

I sell the few things in Johnny's inventory but that's still not enough for walls. Here's what I managed to get them.

Johnny's horse, Freebird, said a sad farewell to her best friend, Shadow Hobble. Who knows if they'll ever see each other again?

The first night in their 'house' was strange. A paparazzi turned up and decided that two one star celebrities sleeping would be front-page news.

Paparazzi: This is the big break I've been waiting for! Two very minor celebrities, who are probably not romantically involved, sleeping in bunk beds! This is news that everyone will be talking about!

She's actual the female version of the CAS Gage Briody clone... made purple.
It was actually rather creepy when the paparazzi person just appeared on the lot and started to take pictures and stuff.

Chapter Two

Maria wakes up very early to check the stove. She seemed satisfied with the safety of it...

And this is what happened only an hour later.

Maria: Ah! Fire! Fire! I must get as close as I can!

Fortunately, the firefighters arrive before any one gets seriously hurt.

Poor Freebird had to be calmed down quite a bit. But Johnny is her best friend so she was soon fine again.

Johnny let Maria have a ride on Freebird. But she's not exactly a pro!

They headed to the Summer Festival and Johnny attempted roller skating. It was difficult, and having a random person spring from nowhere to spin with him didn't help.

Johnny also decided to call it off with his Romantic Interest, Honey Darnell. She didn't take it that well.

(apologies for the tiny chapter -- not much has happened so far!)

Chapter Three

Maria decides to have a go at flirting with Johnny. He's only a few days away from becoming an elder, so time is running out for him to provide a nooboo. So, Maria, what's your best chat-up line?

Maria: I use a knife and fork, you know.

Johnny: Wow, I find that very attractive!

Watcher: *sighs at ridiculous chat-up line*

And it's not long before Johnny asks Maria out.

Johnny: Wanna be my girlfriend?

Maria: I thought you'd never ask!

Johnny and Maria were short on cash so they invited over Chuck Hobble, Johnny's best friend. He was very enthusiastic about his job.

Chuck: It's awesome being in the police. You get a cool uniform and there's these sirens and they go 'NEE-NAW-NEE-NAW" and it's very exciting!

Johnny: I can't believe you don't have the excitable trait. Anyway, do you want to move in with me and my girlfriend? We're low on cash and poor Freebird is missing Shadow.

Chuck: Yeah, okay, mate. It was getting kinda dull on the farm with just me and Shadow and the little ones...

With the money Chuck brought, I could finally build them a little house. It's very simple, and it left them with only 10 Simleons, but it was worth it.

And who are the two 'little ones' that Chuck was talking about? Well, they're two little foals named Troy and Boots. Troy will be sold when he becomes an adult and Boots will become Maria's horse.

Boots:

Troy:

And here's Shadow herself (yes, she's a girl... I didn't know that...)

As there are no water troughs or toys or hay at home, the four horses have to go to the horse training place nearby. Troy begs to be bottle fed by Barrington Diamond and he produces an enormous bottle from nowhere.

Meanwhile, Shadow shows off her jumping talents.

And, we'll finish with Johnny and Maria, just lying on their bed. It's not like they're trying for a nooboo or anything...

Here's Johnny's makeover. I cut his hair, but keep it reasonably long, and improved his beard, to keep his wild rock star look. His clothes are mostly grey, which is his favourite colour. He actually scrubs up pretty well.

I've decided to end this legacy because of some bad decisions in game. I just wasn't happy with it. I'm  going to restart as soon possible, just not in Appaloosa Plains.
