I wonder if I'm the only one who feels a bit nervous about playing a new expansion right away. I kind of like to know a little bit before jumping in. My Prima Guide is being delivered to me tomorrow, but the game won't arrive until Thursday or Friday -- which is just perfect for me! I can read the guide and all the comments from you brave folks, to gain familiarity with the expansion before my own plunge.

I'm the same way about books; I like to read the flaps and amazon comments before I start reading the book.

Heh. I was sitting here reading your comment and thinking, "Okay...how in the world could a computer game make me nervous?" And then it hit me. You know the musical/talking greeting cards that say something when you open them up? If you swung open the Late Night jewel box to take out CD and a voice would say, "Stop!" or "Look behind you" or "Press 9 for more options" — that kind of stuff would freak me out and make me nervous.

You were probably thinking of that kind of stuff, right?

While I agree with what you're saying, part of me is also saying, "Yeah, but I want to create a vampire Dynasty/Legacy." In other words, you'd actually be starting with Vlad the Impaler as legend has it as ground zero (or whoever you want to call your Founder). I just find it really odd that you would have to have a Sim be turned to kick start things. I don't know. Tomorrow will bring lots of answers.

Metro, while lurking on the official forum today (and yesterday) I was able to get a few things from some very lucky Aussies who got theirs yesterday. The sliders are in NL, however, they will be available for the general public via update. Also, you can create your Vamp dynasty, however, you're probably going to have to start with a CAS made sim, then have him/her turn or marry that Vamp. I have the Prima Guide (which has known to be an epic fail at times) but it says vamp/human try for baby is 50/50 vamp kid and vamp/vamp is 100 proof. So the rules of the dynasty can still stand, you'll just have to get your CAS sim turned

Interesting stuff, ladylaw. I'll try and feed Carl as much basic info on the new content as I can within 24 hours of playing LN. After that I need to find out how the expansion content will affect the Dynasty Challenge and what amendments/changes I need to make.

Metro this made me laugh so hard my son said "what's so funny mommy?"! I was just telling my husband that part of me really wants to go to walmart at midnight! I am much more excited than usual about this expansion hopefully it will be really fun
