Oh please, no robotic, human-like pigeon sounds... I want them to record real pigeons!

@mtglady: Most of the pokemon names are sort of based on the animals they are alike with. Although a horslike one (rapidas) I've figured out since I was learning Spanish. Rapidas means 'fast', in a male form of it.

Dragging myself back on topic: I am curious about the sound of the pigeons. Because in Holland the sound differs from place to place I've found out. I wonder how this will count for America.

Not to get off topic again - Pigeons sort of 'coo' much like a dove (they are actually members of the same species).  My girls used to raise pigeons back in the 80's for 4H (they showed them at the county fair).  We had a few racing and homing pigeons, but most were fantails.  They were quite noisy when they were all in their coups as far as I was concerned, but were beautiful to look at.  Below is a picture of a white Fantail pigeon.

It's Rapidash actually, so a combination of "Rapida" and Dash.
Ok! No more pokémon talk!

T Minus 11 till release of Late Night.
Will be in the States at the time, so I'll pick it up.
Oh, and rest assured, there's no diamond-vampires! Confirmed!
It's not going to be like in Sims 2, though, with the arm-over-mouth.
But there might be a new feature where if they get to hungry for blood they put their hands over their mouth, and walk around like that.
I can't wait for it...I can just see all the blood...uh...I mean...paladium.

You mean plasma.  :D

I just hope EA fixes some of the long-running problems the game continues to have: consignment store issues, vacationing bugs, etc. There could be all of this great new content, but it those issues still remain with the release of Late Night/new patch, then I know that I'll have a lukewarm impression.

JeffGuy, LateNight will not be released until October 26th here in the States.  Today is October 7th so you really should be saying T Minus 19!  You had me all excited when I read this earlier today.  ;D

Sorry, mtglady!
I thought I read somewhere around here on the forum that the release date would be the 18 of October.
Anyway, I'll be in the States for a month.
Sorry!  ;)

Yes, plasma
As for the lukewarm impression: I read an article from EA recently saying that they'd listened to Sims 3 players complaints and had tried their best to fix them.
Quoted from Article Lover Electronic Newsletter
The Sims 3 Expansion Pack Late Night is to be released soon, but is it a has-been? EA spokesman Jeremy Jacko'Lantern (nickname) has recently announced that EA is listening to the complaints of their players and will be fixing bugs such as: Traveling bugs, Freezing and several other annoying aspects. They also said they'd thrown in some improvements. No ideas what.
There's also a rumor that they'll be opening an off-road expansion pack, including off-road cars, animals, and weather. But nobody has any idea if it's true.
Not even my buddy at EA will tell me. :(

It was posted in this thread earlier, but I couldn't tell you what page - somewhere between 20 and 40 lol.  It's probably good to have that link pop up again since there's so much valuable info on it

Yeah, I figured someone had posted it a while ago. I might be wrong but the first time I looked at it there were just screen shots. It seems like they have updated it to include a lot of information.
