I just saw a link to this interview with Grant Rodiek (sp?) about Late Night. I went to the article, so you shouldn't have to go through their ad:

http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/the-sims-3/news/exclusive-what-its-like-to-be-a-celebrity-the-sims-3-late-night/a-20100915103034409025/g-20061106113750640058

Yay! I figured out how to make it a link and not just an URL that you'd have to copy and paste.   :D

I love the last paragraph of the article: "We also added an additional muscle slider for both male and female Sims, making for a total of four body sliders! Now your Sims are totally customizable, just like real Hollywood celebrities!"

Woot!  I can't wait for that part.

Also I had to watch the ad, but on the top right corner of the screen there was an option to bypass the ad.

Umm, those two links are both the same.

I think is the link that Saltypaws may have wanted to post:

http://www.edenstyle.it/expansion-packs-late-night/late-night-info-and-21-pics.html

If not, under Latest news on the site there are a few links on Late Night.

@ gerrr00 - That was a very interesting link you posted.  It offers a lot more information on the game, especially the newest posts from September 12th. The vampires look very intersting - I think I might actually like playing those Sims.  I never really enjoyed them that much in Sims 2.
And making drinks that can change Sims’ mood is a different twist. They state that a certain drink can make your Sim romantic and another one can make him… crazy! Wow!
And another posting says the new expansion pack introduces onion rings, spicy chicken wings and nachos - YUM! then there is always the sandwich truck that sells hamburgers, hot dogs, burritos, tacos and soups (also one for vampires).  :D  Think I need to take a dinner break!

Thanks for positing!  ;D

What do you think the difference between the old muscle slider and the new one will be? Definition maybe?

In the link that gerr00 posted there is a blurry picture of the slider and other information on it.  The actual page is http://www.edenstyle.it/expansion-packs-late-night/cas-updates-late-night-preview.html
This link also has the zodiac information on it too.

One of those articles mentioned zodiac signs. I wonder if it will be like the earlier sims where their zodiac sign had an impact on their personality and certain star signs were more attracted to each other then others. (I still have a magazine with an article about the best romantic interests for each star sign for Sims -original)

Norma

I had all of them until about 5 months ago, when I tossed it into the round file.  *bats eyelashes* Norma?  Can you type it up and send it to me via PM?  Please, pretty, pretty please?

I am to lazy to go back to make sure my information is totally accurate but the sliders are 1. weight 2. muscles 3. muscle definition and 4. a chest sizer (females only)

Yeah, I saw the option, but hoped that linking directly to the article would bypass it. I guess I should just be glad you don't have to watch a clock counting down the seconds until they put you through to the article.

Seems the zodiac signs will have no function in the game. I wonder though, if this will change?

@wildredchild  No problem, just don't expect them straight away.. I'm not the quickest at typing lol

From the things I've been reading, it sounds like the musical instruments will be individual skills. Does it sound like that to anyone else?

I agree with you.  It also sounds like that to me too.

What did they do exactly in the other games? I read that sims with certain signs were more attracted to compadable sims, and sims with the same sign, which, actually...Sounds a little off.  :D Usually signs of the same element are not compadable, according to some Zodiac sites. Sure, they agree, but if both like being a leader, then they get territorial.

That was basically it. They had a whole section in the Prima Guide on astrological charts and so on and so forth.  Personally, I never paid no mind to it and just played.  It was too much a pain in the you know where to mess with it.  It had its moments, I suppose and sometimes I would match sims signs, but it seemed in most cases, it didn't matter anyway, so I just played the game. :)

What do you think the difference between the old muscle slider and the new one will be? Definition maybe?

Maybe you can choose if the sim is dry in musculature. Sorry, I don't know the real translation, but in the gym I train myself, the more serious people (including me) are training and eating a lot in wintertime but our diet changes to loose more fat and change that into muscle when the summer is knocking on the door. So if my translation about a dry trainer is correct it means a person where you can see the muscle lines more deeply and he has a six- or maybe an eight-pack. Also his upper veins are more viable. And believe me, this is totally something different than the fat- and musclebar we have ingame so far.

Or it could be simply a more specialized bar where some muscles are better trained than others. Like sims who use the bike more often will have better trained leg muscles. Or bodybuilders where you can see the upper body (triceps, biceps, shoulders, chest) has had the best training.
I don't know if they ad that in the game but it's sure more realistic. Besides that, I would know no other function to a specialized muscle bar.

Anyway, what I do hope is EA will add some more realistic things to the fitness sims ingame. Nobody will ever wish to train 24 hours straight and even if hey do, they will not get any stronger from it, they will ruin their bodies. The best muscle training can be done within one hour a day, four days a week. That's my personal experience and my gym buddies agree. Also, muscle growth happens during our resting period, not during the training. So your fitness bar will raise a little while you are sleeping. Besides that, food is an tremendously important issue. I don't see anything back about that ingame. What happens to the protein shakes of The Sims 2?
It's all in the magical triangle of training, resting and feeding people. And that should be based on ones personal bodytype.
