Yahoo!  I received an email today that my Fast Lanes has shipped!   ;D   Now I will be on edge waiting patiently until it is delivered - probably Tuesday since Monday is a holiday for us here in the USA  :(.

When I preordered Ambitions I got it before the release date. They shipped it like two or three days early and I got it a day or two before the release date. Some where saying it might have to do with where you live and where it ships from. Mine was shipped from a surrounding state but can't remember if it was Kentucky or Michigan and I am in Indiana! So maybe there is hope for you!

Weird! Spellcheck wanted to change 'Now' in your quote to 'NOW'. Does it want you to scream? Second choice was to change it to 'Now'. And what was wrong with your 'Now' anyway?

Yes, I probably do want to scream since I have to wait until Tuesday.  ;D  Strange system as I used the spell check button myself last night just to try it out and I was told I had no spelling errors.
OK, no more of Fast Lane talk under this thread - I don't want to get in trouble.  ::)

That makes it twice as strange! Psychic spellcheckers?  :)  You could get it tomorrow, since it's happened before. It's a wonderful thing to be close to the distribution center that has your stuff, whatever your buying.

I tracked the package and it shows a Tuesday delivery date - coming from Louisville, KY, USA.  So I wait -  8)

Yeah, I think I've decided to get it too now. I went and watched the trailer. I'm so easy.  ;D Hopefully the local big chain store will have it Tuesday. Had to get Ambitions from the next town over. Though I could just download it. I'm willing to do that with SPs. Guess it'll depend how far away a copy is. Now I'd better shush before someone has bring down the off-topic hammer.  :)

Hey, I just noticed Gamespot posted a new hands-on preview of Late Night today:

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/thesims3latenightexpansionpack/news.html?sid=6275284&mode=previews

Got a few new interesting details!  I'm still wondering if the "Guitar" skill will be changed to "Music" (I think it will be).

Apparently you can sneak into exclusive bars by using computer hacking.. that's pretty cool. :)

There's also some new screens, including one showing a Sim playing darts and shuffleboard(?).

Oh and thankfully they said it WON'T BE like World Adventures where you have to run lots of errands to improve your Visa (or in this case, Celebrity) level.  That's a relief. :)

I just watched the commercial and it looks awesome. I agree, Guitar will be changed to Music. It would be annoying to have 5 or so different instrument skills.

Yeah, I understand that, but they could just change to 'String Instruments' and 'Beat Instruments', because I know from my friend that there's not much difference between string instruments, in the way of notes and keys. Still, it'll just be easier this way, which I'm all for...It'll just seem silly to me that I can magically play a drum after mastering music on the Piano.  :P

The new expansion kind of reminds me of Apartment Life, where you had the reputation meter.  The Celebrity bar should be kind of like that, where how you treat people and act effects the bar.  Maybe there will be a spot in the journal for it like collecting and the consignment shop.

O my... wow! We just don't only get a piano with this expansion (which I was hoping for) but we only can drum and playing a cello! I like this a lot.

Here is a link to some more info on Late Night.  Snooty sims has alot of articles on Late Night.

EDIT:  Oops, sorry.  There is another really long article I thought I put on here and I guess it was the same link.  It really went into detail about everything.  The zodiac doesn't do anything in this one, it is just added in.

I just saw a link to this interview with Grant Rodiek (sp?) about Late Night. I went to the article, so you shouldn't have to go through their ad:

Yay! I figured out how to make it a link and not just an URL that you'd have to copy and paste.   :D

One of those articles mentioned zodiac signs. I wonder if it will be like the earlier sims where their zodiac sign had an impact on their personality and certain star signs were more attracted to each other then others. (I still have a magazine with an article about the best romantic interests for each star sign for Sims -original)

Here are two new links to Late night.  The second one has a ton of new stuff in it to look at.

Umm, those two links are both the same.
