He, he, well. What you have against IGN is maybe a fun read (I thought about a Twilight reaction here but didn't dare to mention it ;D), but I hope you can see that it has little to do with when they are only telling us a small bit about the features of the EP that's coming out. Please get back on topic. :)

You're right... I suppose we'll wait for the review. After all they can only state what they've seen so far.

OBJECTION!
1) They refrenced Twilight. Do they seriously want to start a fight. That's asking for a gun in the face (Twilight is the unholy infestation of the interwebs and as such should not be discussed in a Unbiased review).

2) That they aren't fearsome or scary contradicts the whole point of vampires. They're supposed to be scary

They also reference True Blood which, in my opinion, is very far removed from Twilight and they also have a different fan base.  I expect they were just trying to relate to the different forms of the current vampire craze.  But even the vamps in TB aren't that scary, that is until the fangs pop out.

I wanted to ask a question of you guys. There was an observation the author of the preview made, which made me read it a few times.

With...a bizarre bubble bar featuring multiple fruit flavorings...

Did the machines in the other games have, erm, flavored bubbles in the machines?  ??? Which, to me, is a smite odd, since as a child I ate bubbles and regretted it. I wonder if it's the 'smell' of a bubble or the 'taste'...Which are both pretty weird.

Well, since he said it was "bizarre", it may be a joke EA put in the game. But they did have a form of a bubble machine in Sims 2 where there could be like 4 people together who tasted bubbles through some pipes or something (I remember a lot of hovering around, literally ;)). I don't know if that's a bubble bar, but it sure was funny!

They were enjoying it like it was something that's not good for people in the real world, if you know what I mean. Sorta like a multi-port hookah. Popular party item, that's for sure.  ;) Though come to think of it, I believe they have or had something similar (it was a fad for a while) that used oxygen in Real Life. I don't know if it came in all those colors though.

Oh, I just remembered that I've heard of foam parties. If I go by the ep of CSI I dimly recall, they came in different colors (don't recall about scent or flavoring or it might not have been brought up) which I think people danced in. If they did anything above a teen rating, I don't remember anything about it.

That's two options of what it could be like.

I thought it may be a reference to a hookah, but there's some people who aparently use only water in theirs to relax.  ::) I was just curious how the old ones were. By the way, when I played 'The Sims 2' on consol, I got a item called a aroma machine. Dose anyone know if it'll be brought back? And dose it act like a Febreez plug-in? I never got to interact with it, I just got it with the house, and it was stolen later that night by a theif.

Has anyone seen today's review for "Late Night" on GameSpot ?

The article clarifies the above discussion as it mentions a bubble bar, which is similar to an oxygen bar, where your sim can sit and blow different-colored bubbles.  It also goes into more detail on some of the new objects including an 'effects machine' that can be added to spruce up the atmosphere with snow, lasers, or confetti and also shuffleboards, arcades, and dart boards to keep your sims busy.

Even has the name of the new city - Bridgeport!  ;D

Thanks mtglady.  ;) I love the idea of forcing someone to play shuffleboard...Actually, I think I'll set up a retirement community in the entirely open section of Sunset Valley, with small houses for the elderly, and moving the junkyard, so I can put a common lodge area at the end.

Wait, if you can't reverse vampirism, what will garlic do? *my theory needs revising*

Thanks for the link mtglady! Can't wait to see Bridgeport!

I read in an earlier article that you would be able to reverse vampirism.  Which makes sense -- if your Sim can turn into it, EA makes a way they can turn out of it.  There will be another version of Vamprocilian or however you spell it, from TS2.

Although, come to think of it, there isn't a way for your Sim mummy to turn back to a regular Sim, is there?  So maybe being able to reverse changes like that was a TS2 thing, and in TS3 they're permanent.

What? Don't you know that the Blessed Sarcophagus of Kings heals mummies? Well, it does. :)

Actually, I didn't know, lol.  I'm not big on mummies, so I've never had a mummy Sim.

And I found the reference!  It was in the Q&A with Grant on Twitter:
