The two deaths I was referring to was sunlight and elevator failure (which was present in TS2, so I see no reason for it to not be in Late Night). I missed death by thirst, so that's actually three deaths.

I'm going to merge this with our existing thread about Late Night.  We're getting great information, but it's in two different places.

It's best for us not to assume anything until we know for sure.  I don't believe there was any mention of death by elevator failure.  He also said they were doing this EP differently than the ones for Sims 2, so it might not be there at all this time.

Well elevators were actually in Open For Business in 2, I'm just saying with elevators may come the elevator failure that singed/killed you, but it might not come. Hope it does though, ;) Also, you can woohoo in elevators, which I'm pretty sure was in Sims 2 as well, so why not return the death as well?

Here ya go Pam and everyone else!

Thanks so much, Wildredchild!  It's so much better to get all this info straight from the horse's mouth, so to say, instead of what you can figure out from screenshots and things -- especially screenshots and things that are released three months before the releasedate!  Like Grant said, things change.  I can't wait, now!  This is turning out to be better than World Adventures and Ambitions combined, in my opinion.

Elevators, stage tool, curved pools plus more build items. I'm loving this EP already.

The link doesn't work for me, just takes me to a "Log In or Register" page.
That is a known glitch on the EA website, all you have to do is refresh your page and yes you might have to do it a few times before the page will load.  I get it all the time at the EA site.

As for the links I posted to the EA forum, I check to make sure they work properly before and after I post my message.  The browsers I use are IE or Firefox, why it doesn't work for some people I really don't know other than the EA site does not work properly and I have no control over that.

There was a lot of info being posted over on the EA forum about the Twitter event with EA producer Grant Rodiek about the new Late Night EP and at the time I posted the links the event was still in progress.  Which is why I opened a new topic and only provided the link as the information was being posted on the thread as he answered questions.  However, I was not comfortable copying and pasting someone else's compilation of information without their permission and posting it over here.  Sorry for the confusion, but it looks as if all has been rectified.

I wonder with Vampires if they will eventually have a "vampire hunter" profession.  They have ghost hunters, why not vampire hunters?

Ooh, hotwings...I'd like to build my own restaraunt/bar that my sims could own. Make it like one of those sports bars, but maybe focus on music instead...I hope they include Pizza as a favorite food, as well, and maybe birthday cake. I'm so excited about the instruments!

I agree! I was planning on buying Ambitions soon, but now that I know that this EP is coming out soon I'm skipping Ambitions and buying it instead. It looks like it has a lot of flashy new features that will be very interesting to explore. I can't wait.  :)

Good choice.  I haven't been all that impressed with Ambitions, to tell the truth.  Yes, it's neat that you can follow your Sims to work and even control some of their jobs.  Great.  I understand that that's something fans have been wanting for awhile?  Unfortunately, I was never one of those fans.  In fact, especially in multiple-Sim households, I use the time that everyone's at work or school to take a breather, drag any old dishes or newspapers to the trashcan, etc.  I did play a firefighter for awhile, and that was fun, but I cannot imagine the chaos it would be if you had one Sim a private investigator, another Sim a doctor, yet another Sim a interior designer, etc.  The new objects are nice, though, especially the washing machine.  Although even that can get old ...

But I still am having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that we'll be getting a full urban environment, more musical instruments, hot tubs, vampires, restaurants, the stage tool, elevators, and apartments in the same expansion pack!  Even if they back out on any of those things, Late Night could very well turn out to be the best EP in Sim history.

I agree. I'm very interested in what the new neighborhood is going to look like with all of those new features. I'm sure it's going to be exactly what I was looking for to spice up the game, and a brand new Vampire lifestyle to try out. I will not rest until I explore everything.

Not trying to get of topic but i'm actually preparing for a vampire sim. I'm making a romance novelist to bring in the cash so that my vampire sim can have a lot of money to toy around with. I might make two novelists so I can get a little more dough before I make one. Most likely I'm going to have one of my teens (when I get some) will be able to start of early. Can't wait till then.

wildredchild, thanks for posting this.

As Pam mentioned about "Death by Elevator," all this stuff's subject to change, and it's a long time until October.

Late Night sounds good, though, I'm looking forward to elevators  ;D (well, the Hot Tub, as well)!
