Well personally I like that they make there own terms for the somewhat controversial things. Like if they were to do religion I am sure they would make there own instead of going with the ones we really have it makes it much less offensive and controversial to the public in general. Again with holidays they should just make there own so that what is and isn't included from the real world isn't much of an issue if none of it is really real.
Exactly. If you want a church in your game you can make your own, but the game is for everyone of every religion so you can't put in such controversy into the game without angering someone. And it would be impossible to include every religion and culture into the game, so it's much easier (not to mention funnier) to have made-up stuff instead.
Like my Holy Gnome of Evil. I want the vampires to lay blood-sorry, plasma sacrifices to him.  :o

Ohhhh yes!! Finally! Aha, I'm so excited to see what all this expansion will have. If there's one thing about the Sims games that I love above all else, it's the excitement and refreshment of a newly released expansion. That is why this series will never grow old to me.  ;D

Okay, okay, I wasn't dissing the Sims, I was just saying it was a little silly. What did vampires do for food in the old games? I never played 'em.  ???

They ate the exact same thing that other Sims ate.  You didn't drink blood or "plasma" or anything else from other Sims.  The only thing you could do was "Bite Neck" of a Sim you had sufficient relationship with, and it turned them into a vampire.  Honestly, I don't mind the "plasma" thing, because, like Pam said, it adds a little charm to the Sims games.  "Have sex" just sounds rather crude; "Woo-hoo" sounds funny.  It used to annoy me that they called wine "nectar" (especially because wine has a reputation for being more cultured and sophisticated than beer or liquor) but I got used to it.  I don't know if I'll get used to "plasma"; but either way, I'm sure it'll be fun. ;D

I guess this will mean lights in the back yard gardens so the vamps can grow their plasma fruit at night.

Maybe the creators came up with that one from the opening credits of Dexter and the blood orange.

If I remember right about the religious thing...Don't they have a Holy Llama?

Also, I wonder if they'll change the structure of the music skill. I know that you could play Piano and Bass under the same 'guitar' skill, in all technicality, but drums is entirely different.

Well if you we can actually play in a band that would be neat. The music career is kind of bleh as it is, a lot of things could be done to improve it.

You can play in a band: the exact quote is, "Gain fame and fortune as a member of a music band, mixologist, director, or local celebrity." (italics mine)  EA can be misleading at times with their screenshots, their videos, etc; and as such anything seen or observed in those things should be taken with a grain of salt.  However, when EA straight-out says that something is going to be in an expansion pack, they usually mean it.  All their promises have come true with regards the vanilla game as well as all the expansion packs.  (They'd sometimes say that something was going to be in TS2 and it wasn't, such as how they straight-up promised weather in the vanilla game (right down to a lightning strike in one of the teaser videos) and never delivered, but that was a completely different development team)  So don't worry about that.  ;D

I, also, hope the music career gets a revamp, sort of like the medical career got for Ambitions.  I'm also anxious to see how the celebrity thing works -- is it something that's earned through sheer work and manhours, such as the star system in TS1: Superstar?  Or is it more hit-and-miss like the nectar-making system in World Adventures?  (which would also make it closer to real life, some people go decades and never make it big, whereas others produce one song or whatever and immediately hit the big time; but I think it'd also make it more frustrating)

Lots of interesting stuff. Four skills and most likely two deaths are basically confirmed, which is awesome. :)

I didn't really love the Superstar system because there was just so much to it and so much to do, and certain sims with certain skills just couldn't cut it. It was quite frustrating at times. I'd love to see a completely different system, something new and refreshing that is unique to the Sims 3 and not just a rerun of the old styles.

Two deaths?  I only got one out of that:  death by thirst.  What was the second one?

Death by sun.  But I wonder how badly the vampires are affected by eating garlic...

So it's due to release this fall. Hopefully they won't decide to put a delay on that like some of the other games and expansions. Question for anyone who is listening: If you had to pick between Ambitions and the new Late Night expansion, which would you pick??
???
