Oh wow, so much has happened! Congrats on two weddings, a town jump, and now two births! I'm glad that Bert and Patricia are around to see their grandbabies. :)

And I'd absolutely name any purple dragon Spyro if given the chance. :P

Yeah, even I can't believe how far I've come recently! It's been fun to play and write and hopefully fun to read  :)
I'm glad too that Pat and Bert will be around and I'm desperately hoping I can get at least one of them to complete their lifetime wishes (both of which involve reaching the top of their career).

I've only had a few dragons and in that I've had two purples, both name Spyro  ;D

Chapter 16 - Paparazzi Wars
« Reply #46 on: June 24, 2013, 03:04:37 PM »
First off, we decided to buy a water slide! Hurrah! Now I have something to fill my seemingly endless teenage days. But it seems Dad uses it more than I do.

There is currently a war raging within the house. No, no, there is no Bedlington family feud. This war is fought by the invading paparazzi reporters.

Paparazzi 1: Ooh, yeah, great shot! Check out those gleaming worktops!

Paparazzi 2: You just wait [paparazzi 1]. I'll get a better Bedlington story than you.

Paparazzi 2: Perfect! Hugo and Casie Bedlington in bed! Sleeping!!

Paparazzi: Ah! Perfect, Hugo Bedlington eating! This'll make front page news.

Hugo: Are you going home soon? I'm only a two-star celebrity. I really don't think it's worth breaking into my house to get a picture of me eating autumn salad...

To escape the paparazzi, we all headed out on a trip to the beach, including baby Luke. Most of us went swimming and Casie had a bit of a surprise...

Fortunately, the Watcher told us sharks won't harm us for at least another five days... *gulp*

Obviously I was out in the sea as well. It was my first time but swimming isn't difficult.

Little Luke was there too, mostly looked after by Granny Pat.

But when Mum headed out for a swim, Luke was left all alone on the floor!

Super auntie Emmy to the rescue!

I quite liked Luke as a little nooboo, but I was far more excited when he became a toddler! We held a little birthday party for him and his Mummy carried him to the cake.

Who would he look like...?

The answer: his mum! He's every inch a Pelly boy, but maybe we'll see some Bedlington genes shine through as he gets older.

He's an absolutely adorable toddler. We all love him to bits and pieces.

It seems he hasn't quite forgiven his granny for leaving him on the beach that day.

I haven't seen little Warren yet (Simon and Bridgette's son) but he's a day older than Luke so he's a toddler now. Maybe my two little nephews will be best buddies in school? And hopefully they won't be fighting for girls...

Look at that face! Maybe the sims are glad that we get an extra five days before disaster strikes in-game!

Chapter 17 - A Rather Disjointed Chapter
« Reply #48 on: July 07, 2013, 01:35:27 PM »
Sorry about the lack of updates everyone. We've been too busy watching Simbledon tennis here in Monte Vista! Let me get you caught up.

Our dear little tortoise, Gary, passed on. He'd been with us since we lived in Appaloosa Plains so we were all quite upset about his death.

However, this sad news was quickly forgotten about when Casie announced that she was pregnant again!
(Don't tell anyone, but I'm hoping for a niece this time!)

I've also got some news of my own... I've got a boyfriend! His name is Orlando Romano.

My hear flutters when I see him. Ahh...

He even kissed me *blushes*

I'm not sure what Dad thought when he saw us embracing beside the pool!

Yes, I know this is true love. I write him love notes nearly every day!

Casie's stomach continues to grow and I think the baby will be along soon.

She met up with Bridgette and Simon at the park (the now aged up Warren was at school). I have no idea why Bridgette was in a graduation robe...

I'm afraid I have to end our chapter with some tragic news. The most tragic thing I have ever written. No, I won't write. My heart is too heavy and full of woe to even type. I will have to just show you the pictures.

R.I.P Bertram Bedlington, co-founder of this Random Town Jump, faithful husband to Patricia, father of Simon, Hugo and Emmelie, grandfather to Warren and Luke. He got a medium-sized grave, despite not achieving his lifetime wish (he was two promotions off) and using 30,000 points on the Inheritance LTR. I suppose he just had a very happy life. I placed his guitar beside his grave and planted some daffodils.

Goodbye Bertram. :( It's a shame he never made his LTW, but at least he lived a happy sim life and got to see two of his grandchildren.

I'm glad that Emmy found someone! The romantic stuff isn't quite as gross now, I imagine. :P

I played what would have been a long and important chapter but I was so wrapped up in it that I forgot to save! I'm super annoyed because Casie's baby had been born and I'd done a load of other things which I'll now have to replay. Sorry for the delay in the chapter. It should be up in the next couple of days.

Don't worry Snuffles! The school holidays are just days away and then there will be six weeks of simming! (And holidays, and friends, and whatever else people do when not at school!) ;D

Chapter 18 - Luke writes
« Reply #52 on: July 15, 2013, 03:18:17 PM »
Hello everybody! Luke Bedlington here! I'm super-duper excited that I'm writing this chapter instead of Auntie Emmy, because she said she's busy.

I know what you're all thinking. Hey, Luke, you're still a toddler! How can you write? Well, I am writing this chapter in past tense. Auntie Emmy taught me that. She says its when you're talking about something that has already happened like 'I swam in the shark-infested sea'. Obviously I'm not going to do that because I don't like sharks.

I had my birthday and became a big boy. Being a toddler was okay but being a kid is even better! I got perceptive as my new trait and Granny said, "He'll be a mini Sherlock Holmes, this one!'. I didn't know who Sherlock Holmes was but Auntie Emmy told me that he's a detective that solves mysteries. That sounded fun and she showed me the book but I can't read. I might ask her to read it to me when she has time.

The best bit about being a big boy is that I got to pick out all my outfits! Well, all but one. The Watcher chose my everyday outfit because apparently I reminded her of someone...

Here are my other outfits:

Formal. Pirates are the new trend you know!

Sleepwear.

Athletic wear (the wellies just make it, don't you think?)

Swimwear

Outdoor wear.

Oh, yeah, and I have a baby sister now. Mummy woke up in the middle of the night and she started pulling funny faces.

Dad was also making silly faces  :P

And then everything went sparkly and suddenly she was just there.

Mummy and Daddy decided to call her Marion after the female winner of Simbledon. Mummy says she's cute. I think she's just a screamy blanket.

Do you like my new bedroom? We had to change my old nursery into two rooms -- one for me and one for Marion the Blanket. I like my room. It's green and green is my FAVOURITE colour.

This is my special collection of Scary Bears.

Everybody likes Marion the Blanket. They actually queue to look after her. Who'd want to get smelly baby being sick on them and making them smelly as well?

Granny Pat loves looking after my sister. She says it makes  her feel better because she's been really sad about Grandad Bert passing away.

But Grandad is still here! He comes out of his stone and we play on the water slide together.

I really like my grandad, even if he is see-through.

It's really sad when he has to go, though.

I hoped you liked my writing. Auntie Emmy says that maybe she should write the next chapter because... well... um....

Exact same reaction, except the pet in question was a paranoid rat, and he hid under my shirt. :P

This was fantastic! Luke is adorable, and I'm glad he is able to interact with his grandpa...even if he is rather transparent.

LOL. I've done that before to my budgie when reading other people's stories  :P

Luke's just the friendliest thing. He just goes around hugging all his family members  :)

Great chapter Snufflesxx! Your family is so nice to read about :)

Thanks, saltpastillen! They're great to play, too.

Chapter 19 - A happy/sad balance
« Reply #59 on: July 24, 2013, 05:13:17 PM »
Hello, everyone, Emmy here! I'm back and I have two big things to tell you about. The first is sad, the second is happy, so hopefully the happy thing will make the sad thing seem less sad, if you know what I mean.

The sad thing... Mum passed away, just after a game. It was sad that none of us were there, but at least she went with dignity.

We placed her grave next to Dad's. I saw him once, as a ghost, and he was staring at it. Maybe he's happy that she's with him now? Rest in peace, Mum.

Little Marion's birthday came not long after Mum died. She looks a lot like her Daddy.

But she does have her Mummy's eyes.

But what's the other good news? Well, I'll tell it to you in story form.

It was a beautiful, golden morning as the sun peeped over the hills.

I was going to see someone, my very best friend, who lived on the other side of town. I had come to realise something and I had to tell her.

I arrived and she invited me inside. I couldn't hold onto these feelings any more... so I kissed her.

I expected her to be stunned, maybe even angry, but she just smiled.
"I've waited for this for a long time." She whispered.

"I love you." I told her, as we embraced.

I hurried home to tell my brother.

He congratulated me and gave me a warm, brotherly hug.

I know some parts need explaining. Well, Orlando and I broke up. We were growing apart since I became an adult, because he was still a teen. We broke up, but agreed to still be friends.

Who is my girlfriend? She is Alessandra Giordano, my best friend. We'd been best friends for a long time and suddenly I wanted more. And it seemed she did too!

The next day, I made a very big decision. Was it too early? I'd have to find out.

She arrived at the house and we fondly embraced. I knew I wasn't making a mistake.

Emmy: Alessandra, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?

I was terrified of her reaction, just as I had been when I first kissed her. But I had no need to worry.

Alessandra: Oh, Emmy, of course! Of course I'll marry you!

She spent the night at the house and looking into her eyes, I realised I'd made the right decision.

It's more beautiful than any love story I could write. This is real, and it's happening to me.

The reason that Emmy got together with Alessandra was because she rolled a wish to kiss her after a visit to her house. I was going to ignore it, but decided to give it a go, if it was what she wanted. I'm actually really pleased with how it ended up, because these guys are just so cute together!
