Placing objects in another household?
« on: April 21, 2013, 03:02:13 PM »
Hi all,

Is it possible that if I visit other households and it looks like a crib or high chair or anything for that matter is needed would I be able to purchase it for the household and place it in their home?

Or is the only way I can do this is if I go into edit town and actually play the household and add whatever furniture is needed?

Thanks :)

If you use testingcheatsenabled true, you can then go to the Sims house, Shift click on the floor and select buy or build on this lot.  You can then buy and place the object(s) you want or even recolor their entire home.  It will use your funds so make sure you've got plenty of Simoleons before you do it.  I used to have my very wealthy Sims do this for poverty stricken townies a lot.  They never seemed to notice the difference though, which was rather disappointing.  I was looking forward to the hand clapping happy dance.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

You can also leave little stuff behind, i.e. what you can carry in your Sim's personal inventory. Or take something, for that matter. I used to go harvesting another Sim's garden cause I learned she's an awesome gardener :D And I have to admit I also took books sometimes. I mean, how unrealistically expensive are they in the book shop?!
