Sims 3 Store World - Dragon Valley

   I went to the store to buy the game and it states it will be released tomorrow. 

How are others getting it today?  I know that there seemed to be a mix-up from reading here, but I thought that it was still going to be available on the 30th, not the 31st. 
Tomorrow is another day for spring cleaning, I have to have hubby's help due to health/mobility problems.   Now I can't spend today playing and that has me well . . .  

It is the 30th already in Australia.  In fact the 30th is almost over.  AEST stands for Australian Eastern Standard Time and accounts for most of the timezones on the east coast of Australia where it is now actually 9:15 PM.  My game is now working but the venue is still not yet available in the Sims 3 store in Australia.

Here in Canada , it shows the World to be available May 31st and not today . I will check again later on as it's still too early over there . My time zone is four hours difference .

I know I am sounding  grouchy and I don't mean to, my frustration is with the situation.  The store says it can not be purchased until the 31st. 


I can't buy the game and then get the venue later, I can't buy the game at all, until tomorrow. 

I live in the US, so for me the 31st, midnight, is 16 hours away.  If they are not releasing it at exactly midnight, I have to add another three or four hours to whatever time they choose before I can buy.  It depends on the location from where they push the button, so to say, that allows it be purchased.  Time difference between the West coast time and East coast time (my time) is four hours. 

It doesn't matter in that aspect, of the location, what does matter, to me is that I have to wait another day to be able to get the game that was supposed to be released today.

I guess I am spoiled, I'm used to items I purchase, mainly books, to be ready of the release day unless give notice at least three month in advance.  Amazon prime mails the books out so that it arrives on the release day.     
I'm a bit ticked off at the situation, not anyone in particular.

I'm sure EA has a good reason to take the World offline and post-pone the release date. It must be an issue that needs fixing either the world or the website, they wouldn't want anyone to experience glitches with the purchase or have a broken version of the World.

The forums and store are set up on their own time zone.  As soon as that time zone became the 30th yesterday the world was prematurely released before the store team wanted it to be.

They changed the date so that the website wouldn't make it available for purchase again.  There has been no indication from an actual Guru that it is not releasing today. 

Just by downloading the world I have opened myself up to having to reinstall my entire game, lose all my saves and possibly have to reinstall my OS.   Would you like  to do that too?   This was a personal risk I was willing to take.   Not everyone is.   It's not that it's unfair or anything but without official word on this.  No one can really start complaining because it's supposed to come out today in like 4 hours.  Until that time passes and nothing happens, you guys should still be excited.   Every Guru I've talked to is still saying today.

Please don't bash EA or the website at this time.

Dragon Valley will be available today - confirmed by Gurus and the Official Sims 3 Twitter. 

Edit: SimsVIP were given a copy of Dragon Valley early and have produced information on the content of the world!

I just bought the Gold Bundle!

The venue is listed, but many of the pictures of it aren't showing, and there is no sale price shown (if there is going to be a sales price -- I don't know.)

Yeah I wouldn't buy the venue until the Gurus say you should.  If there aren't picture then it's not ready and the sale price isn't up yet.  As of this moment, not a single member of EA store team has said that the world and venue are ready for purchase.

Ricalynn,I really value what you do on the forum and the advice you give,so that said I can now log on to The Sims 3 and the store.Dragon Valley Gold is up for sale at 35 English Pounds,but I'm hesitant to buy at the moment is that wise(sorry if I'm being a little silly).

I would advise against the 35 pounds.  Seriously, because that doesn't sound right to me.   It's $35 in the US right now and earlier it was showing a lower Pound price if I recall correctly.
