Now I really want a dragon.

I wonder if they are they planning to sell all the different baby dragon colours separately, or just the dragon egg with the option to be the different colours? Not that it will make me want it less, but if it was just one item i'd probably be more likely to buy it, instead of having to buy 10 or more to get the different variations.


I guess we'll just have to wait and see what they decide to do!

The information you quoted on this page says that there will be different colours of dragons depending on how you treat your dragon egg.

Does anyone know how many different color dragons there are?  What the other colors will be? 
I wonder if they will have a color that is linked to it abilities, such as the red dragon is to fire, would a blue one be to water, which in the new expansion pack dealing with water that could be a nice aspect.  Would a green one to earth, or living things, such as gardening?
I'm guessing that it would be the basic colors, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple?
Just guessing on my part, can't wait to find out more about them.

With the red dragon and fireballs, it makes me think of the aspect of -- that runner really burned up the track -- fire and athletics going hand in hand.

I guess that had me thinking of green dragons for gardening, helping in that skill, and having similar abilities of the faries, bloom for example. 
I am just exploring the aspects of a color and a career or skills, which one would work with what.  I can't see there being a lot of different colors, but then we have the ability to change colors and pattens so who knows what they have planned. 
Just fun to imagine what they will be like and what they can do.
Green can also fit into business, green = money, so the business career.  Or the military, the camaflgue the soldiers wear.  Blue, which makes me think of water, could go with several things, anglers, fishing for example, or even for law enforcement. 
What color would be best for alchemy, artist, author, cooking with chef, culinary librarian and the others.  I think it is fun (interesting?) to think of what color would go with what skill, careers; for me at least.

That sounds like the dragons in Original Sims/Making Magic.  I think there were 3 colours of dragons depending on how you treated the egg.  If you gave the egg a lot of attention, you wound up with a cute little purple dragon that would rarely if ever start fires.  I had one that loved to play tag with my character's dog and it was such fun to watch them.  I wonder if these dragons will be at all similar to those ones.

I absolutely love this new world.  I want it for my story but I want it for the dragons... and the celtic village and the clothes *sigh* sooooo happy.  Bring on May 30!

The dragons are ok but for me it's the whole ambiance.  Folks are already starting to do builds that will fit in there and I'm about to go work on some Sims.  I like to populate my worlds with "my" people, or people from the forum anyway.  If any of you do this just make sure you ask for permission if the people are going to be used in other folks' stories.

It's the trailer they showed in the broadcast last month when they announced it, just with the addition of the date it will be available. And yeah, it shows a green dragon as well as the red.

I am so excited to have a baby dragon, they look so fun to play with from the pics  the world looks eerie too and i can't wait to explore it, I wonder if the dragon will be treated as a part of your household, like pets. Either way, this new world looks amazing!

Treasure and Uber Gardening with the Green Baby Dragon

Last week I introduced you to the Red Baby Dragons of Dragon Valley. They are impulsive, brash and focused on the physical. They are aligned with the element of fire and will happily help you smite your enemies in a Fiery Torment.

But not all baby dragons in Dragon Valley are as brazen or hotheaded. Some are deep thinkers with an inherent understanding of this land, and the untold riches it can bring forth. They understand that a job is a way of amassing wealth and there are few things that they love more than gathering treasure. They are Green Baby Dragons.



Green Baby Dragons find all of Red’s fire-breathing rather crass and fairly destructive. Green Baby Dragons would rather talk about gardening, which can help your Sim build their skill quite a bit. But if your Sim is getting impatient with their garden, Green Baby Dragons can also summon a harvest for all of the plants on your lot.


 
Green Baby Dragons are collectors at heart and they love all things shiny. Some has said that being so close to the earth has given them a better understanding than most of the many wonders it holds. Is your Sim a little greedy? Then they should befriend a Green Baby Dragon who can call upon gold and gems from the very earth!

As I mentioned last week, there are benefits just to having a Baby Dragon around. With the Green Baby Dragon your Sim will get the “Mark of the Green Dragon” mood let which gives them the mental fortitude to control their Hunger and Bladder.

All of the Baby Dragons have the ability to fly and having your Sim take them outside to practice flying is a wonderful bonding experience for them both and a great way to build your Sims Fun and Social.

I like the sound of the Green Baby Dragon. Looking forward to getting one of those.
But they call them Baby Dragons and it makes me wonder where are the Adult Dragons.

No such thing as Adult Dragons in the game as per everything I've read.  Even the world backstory says they are keeping the dragons as babies through technology/magic.

Hmmm. So red dragons help with energy and hygeine, green help with hunger and bladder, so my guess is there will be one more that will help with fun and social, although it mentions that being with them helps those anyway, just from interacting with them. Although I surmise that there must still be at least one more, perhaps blue that helps with fishing, both in raising the skill and increasing the frequency in which fish are caught. I can see these little cuties being used in a lot of immortal dynasties.
