I stole a dragon from the O'Shea brothers   ;D  Went to their house to talk to both of them and get a look inside the house.  There was a black dragon one of the brothers was talking to.  He started to chat with me and put the dragon down.  His brother came over and started to chat with him and my sim went to the dragon.  I didn't think anything about it, just had her pick it up and talk to it.
When she went to put it down, it greyed out and a popup came up and said something about don't put the dragon on the ground as someone could walk away with it.
So, had to take it home, Welcome Bercelak to my sim dragon family.  I now have five dragons, two black and one each of the other.  I don't think I need any more dragons!

Now I just have to decide which one of the O'Shea brothers does my sim want to marry.  Not sure of how names are spelled but the Ken(?) one is a werewolf and Bred(?) one is a vampire.  I guess Supernatural finally visited, there are vamps, weres, witches and fae in the town now.
Either way, I am using a potent cure on the were one, can't stand to watch the werewolf behaviors, destruction, silly walk and constant fighting with other werewolves.

You could do that, or you could go into your options menu and simply disallow weres altogether.  I am not fond of them either so I offed them and vamps.

Does anyone know why the Dragon Tavern, (I think that's the name of it), is "No Visitors Allowed"?  It's perfectly set up to be a tavern, bistro, coffee house, (except no rabbit hole), or whatever but what's the point if it's no visitors?  I'm thinking it was just a goof up.

Do you have to have the rabbit hole part of the coffee house for entertainers or can you just make a coffee house with a stage and name the lot coffee house?  I don't think the diner kind of thing would look right in DV but you need one if you have an entertainer.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

I don't know about the rabbit hole aspect, although I wouldn't think it would have to be one.  The diner and Bistro in SV are separate and have lots of sims going in and out.
I do think there has been, or still is, a problem with sims being able to eat outside at the diner and Bistro in other towns.

As for the tavern, I thought it was weird, but decided to raze it and make it a residential lot.  Have more homes in that area, it looked so lonely with so few homes.

I figure the No Visitor's Allowed thing is right up there with all the Small Parks in Moonlight Falls.  It was forgotten.

Considering the great job they did in building DV to begin with I guess we can let them have that one little ooops.  I'll just change the designation on it but not sure what I'll turn it into.

Janna I think I'll just put in a "coffee house" with stage and see what happens.  I thought it was pretty lonely out there myself, (the tavern), but I went the other route and added a couple of venues.

I'm still struggling on a borrowed pc but at least now I can play a little.

One of my dragons has gotten stuck.  It's a black one and he's just standing on the floor with his wings spread out.  I think my Sim put him on the floor instead of in her inventory and somehow he just got stuck.  When I try to have her interact with him, the actions just cancel themselves out.  Any suggestions?

Could you enable testingcheats and reset him? I mean, technically he's an object, isn't he, and I vaguely remember there being an option to reset objects much like Sims on the shift-click pie chart.

The only thing available is to delete it.  I'll just buy her another egg and try to get another black dragon.

Unfortunately, it is one of those little glitches.  I try to have my sim put the dragon in the inventory, but it doesn't always work that way.  I have already had to delete a couple of them.  I hate doing it, but nothing else to do with them.

I guess the good thing is that they [dragons] aren't like pets with traits and moodlets (do they get LTR?) so those aren't lost.  Nor building a relationship as you would with pets and other sims.

I have wondered what would happen if you put one down in an area that is not your home, such as the festival grounds and leave him.  Will have to try that and see what happens.  Maybe the red one, Keita, who occasionaly  bites her sim; I can get a new one.

Actually if you have a person interact with the dragon, they too will be stuck for about 30 Sim minutes then both dragon and Sim do a weird reset and the dragon is able to be interacted with like normal.  Happens if no one interacts with a dragon after a certain amount of time but I've never had to delete one.

You can't place them down anywhere but on your own home lot.

That explains the weird thing that happened with my dragon.  It was a black one and I thought I had lost him, looked everywhere.  It seems my sim had decided, for some weird reason, to take him onto the patio area.  My mind isn't grasping the right word(s), large balcony on second floor that covers a big section of the first floor top, can walk out of the alchemy room onto the area, has lounge chairs and other items.  Anyhow, for some reason she took him out there and then left him.
When I found him he was sitting there, wings folded but she couldn't pick him up.  It was as if she became stuck also for a bit, then she could pick him up.

Ah, I see.  My Sim actually did get stuck with the dragon, but I didn't wait and reset her right away.  I'll give it more time if it happens again.

Oh!  This happened with one of my Sims too!  I thought it was maybe because I was playing with an overstuffed household, but he had just been interacting with a stuck dragon.  That's probably what happened.

I've done a lot of modifying and am really enjoying it.  I did decide I wanted a hermit Sim and I put her and her two dogs on one of the little islands (not the lighthouse one or the one with the bridge).  I put a llama station there for her to get around, and it worked ok, except it never occurred to me the dogs couldn't use it too, and I decided I didn't want them stuck on the island.  Also I had a lot of routing problems on that little island, so I finally moved her household to the island with the bridge.

Right now, this is my favorite town!

I'm so glad that they decided not to automatically add the other expansion lots to Dragon Valley.

I'm not very good at building, so here's what I've done:

At the Duke of Bows venue, I took out the picnic tables under the little tents and put in counters with the elixir shop register, the consignment shop register, and the nectary register. I also took out a couple of the weapon stands and put in the vegetable stands from the Al Fresco venue.

This opens up a whole new idea.  Remember how UC has that open air market and of course there is the big MV one?  Time to make a new open air market with those wonderful pavillions as the stores!

I'm so happy my game is finally working ok.  I've restarted making the jousting field behind the stadium and will soon have other places of interest in that general area.  Maybe that market!  Duke of Bows is across from the Journeyman Tent in my game.

I've remodeled the Dragon Inn.  It is now going to be either a private venue or a live venue.  Haven't decided which yet so it is temporarily just visitors welcome.  I'll paste some pics and a download link in the exchange and swap shop once I'm done with it.  I just wish the Big Show venue didn't have to be more like a rabbit hole.  Or does it?  Hmmmm, bet not.  I love this town.  I think I almost like it as much as UC.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
