This is a really strange glitch I've never seen before:
I've been playing a family recently, with a elder (f witch), a teen (m vampire) and a male dog. They live in Appaloosa. Everything was going fine for a while. Last night I saved and quit. I shut down my computer and it installed some windows updates.
Today I went to play my Appaloosa family. Started up just like normal, with all three family members in the loading window. When they were all loaded, though, there were no portraits for the family members along the left; the elder was the active character. Also, when I went into world view mode the magnifying glass wouldn't come up to zoom in with, all I could do was zoom in on the sim, and since I had no portraits I could not find or select my other chars. I send the elder home, and her portrait appeared. When the teen got home from school his portrait appeared. I thought maybe the dog would come home and his portrait would appear, but it never did. I tried clicking on the front door to use the callinside option but it never appeared, and i tried the ommand to guard option on several objects to no avail. I sent the teen o bed in the bottom bunk of a bunk bed, all went normal. I sent the elder to bed in the bottom bunk, and pretty soon they both suddenly appeared standing on either side of the bed (kind of in the same way sims will appear a few et rom the mailbox after checking mail, with that glitch). Still no dog or magnifying glass.
I tried evicting them and moving them back in, no help. I tried moving them to a different lot, no help. I tried playing a different family in Appaloosa, still no help.
I tried playing a family in a different town, I think it was moonlight falls, and they were just fine. I just now saved my Appaloosa family to the families bin and deleted Appaloosa, gonna try and see if deleting and reloading Appaloosa, then moving them back in again, will make this family work again.
Has anyone else had this problem?
