Amphitrite looks like she'll be the spitting image of her mother.  Good luck completing your immortal requirements!

Oh man, it's been so long since I've played in Sunset Valley that I completely forgot about Agnes and her half-finished nursery. How sad! Yay, for another nooboo on the way!

Thank you everyone for all your support. Unfortunately, the day before Amphitrite was to turn teen my file got corrupted big time. I've been trying to fix it for a week, but I can't seem to find any solution other than to start again from the beginning with a new file. Since I'm not very far in and plan to sort-of continue the story with a YA Amphitrite, do you think it would be okay to use the same topic?

So my game was completely ruined with some sort of bug, and the only thing I could do was start again. I’ve not made a new topic, since I didn’t get very far before and will just be continuing the story.

Remember me?

I am Amphitrite Olympian.

My mother started this diary before I was even born to track her progress to Immortality. The last few entries were destroyed The Night, but I managed to rescue the first few, which is what you’ve just read.

A few days after the last entry my sister Persephone was born and I aged to child.

I don’t remember much from my childhood, but I know we led a privileged life. My mother was lucky enough to find another Midas Touch potion at the store, and suddenly we were rich and I spent most of my time fishing and playing with my friends. My mother was always worried about me, she thought I was too blithe and should focus more on my own Immortal Requirements, but I just wanted to have fun. I wish now I had tried harder, but it can’t be helped.

There is one night I remember clearly. The night before my teenage birthday. The Night. But I don’t want to write about it just yet. It’s too painful, even all these years later. Suffice to say I thought my parents and sister died, leaving me to go to an orphanage.

I was what they called a “troubled-teen”. I had nightmares and flashbacks, and didn’t care about anything for a long time. I grew up with no friends, no skills and no money. Then, quite by chance, I found an old mythology book in the library. Most of it wrong of course, but a few things were completely accurate. And I hope that the one thing that really stuck with me is one of those things: In the old days Gods and Goddesses walked the earth with Sims. They had beautiful physical forms could only be killed by one of their own. Being a peaceful race, this did not happen often, however when it did the spirit of the dead God or Goddess suffered greatly in the underworld for eternity.  If it is, my mother can come back.

After reading my mother’s diary entries, I have my own suspicions about what caused The Night and on my young adult birthday I went to visit my uncle.

I don’t know how really, only I think he knew I wanted to talk to him and kind of pulled my spirit there.

We talked for a long time before we came to an agreement. He would do what I asked. He would bend time and send me back in my mother’s place. I would start my own dynasty in the town she loved, surrounded by the people who loved her. Then, if I succeeded, I would see my mother and sister again.

I didn’t like his expression though. He looked… sneaky.

So I made him promise, he would not interfere with my dynasty no matter what. He promised, and we parted with a hug.

I am writing this from my new lot in Sunset Valley, where the Olympian Immortal Dynasty will begin again.

Oh, noes that was horrible, Meg!
Do you ever tried about the backup thing in save folder?
I believed in the saves folder there must be something like this:

Diana.sims3 <-- actual save
Diana.sims3.backup <-- the backup

Just rename the second like the first one.
Don't forget to backup the "backup" file if something horrible happened again.

That was a great background story that you provided. I love it.

I tried that and the whole thing just happened again :( I'm glad it happened now though instead of when I'm on Immoral Eight or something. Thank you  :)

Week One, Day Two

My first stop in Sunset Valley was Agnes Crumplebottom's house, one of my my mother's best friends and somebody I remembered from my childhood. It was strange having to introduce myself again and hard not to let her know immediately, but I think I pulled off. We became close quickly and I told Agnes about my housing situation.

She smiled and asked to see the lot.

To my great surprise, she looked it at then asked then and there if I was looking for a roommate. I don't know if she remembers of some level or if she would have done the same for my mother if she hadn't already had a husband when they met, but whatever it is I'm grateful. Mother would have told me that I shouldn't take things from people when I have nothing to give them, but I don't think that's quite true. Agnes has seemed happier these last few days, she's even taken up a new hobby.

And her new wardrobe is so much nicer than all that black.

Speaking of our house.

Week One, Day Four

Agnes continues to sculpt, while I'm learning gardening and fishing. I haven't fished in so long and it's nice to get back to it.

I was fishing at the beach one day when I saw Hank Goddard, a local policeman. We got to talking and ended up spending the day together. It started off completely innocent, honest it did. But Hank is so funny and kind, and he was thinking the same as me.

He admitted that his partner and he had been having trouble, but I didn't do anything. I told him the only way anything would happen was if they were no longer together, then I went home.

The next evening Hank came around and told me he'd broken it off with his wife. He left his wife for me. I had to tell him.

He didn't care. He really didn't. He said it was okay and that he knew something was different about me and then asked if we could go inside because it was a bit chilly. I couldn't stop myself, I didn't want to stop myself even though I was sure he would break my heart,

He spent the night, though nothing happened, and he woke me up with a serenade.

I was so excited and so happy. I don't remember ever being so happy. Maybe that's why I rushed it a little.

He was certainly shocked.

And very excited.

Neither of us wanted a big wedding, there was enough of a scandal about Pauline already, We had a small private wedding right there.

AN: I'm not sure I like the house very much, so don't be surprised if I suddenly tear it all down and start again :P

Good luck! Although that you start this again, the story content is still fresh and enjoyable to read.
And I loved how you designed the house. That was small but seems comfortable enough for me. Nicely done!
Hope everything will be alright with your dynasty :)

Sorry for the long wait, I played up to Amphitrite becoming an elder and then began having computer issues again. Unfortunately that means I'm going to have to count this attempt as failed as well. I might start a completely fresh dynasty at some point with a new story, but for now I'm going to focus on fixing my computer so I'll be able to play sims 4 when it come out.

Sorry to hear of your problems, Meg.  I'm moving this story to the graveyard as you requested.  Good luck with the computer, and best wishes with your next dynasty attempt.
