Oh noes... Sorry to hear that in your game. I hope the issues will be fixed soon. This is starting good.

Aww... Poor Rudolph! (But, it's good in evil way right? so no more hindrance and Devin will be her only :P)
I think Felicia should change her hair color back like her before. Sure having a gray hair is something, but I do like her hair before much better :P

and Devin, he is such a kid that adorable in evil way. I can't wait to see what will become of him and who is the lucky one for him. Since he is a teenager riggghhhtt....? There must be a love love story there *grin*

lol, yeah, the next update, if my game decides to freaking work, will be all about Devin... *grumbles more about game*  This may be a long shot, but are you familiar at all with Visual Studio?

Uh, no. Sorry can't help you about Visual Studio things.

But, you do start The Sims 3 from launcher right? How about you start the game from TS3W.exe itself?
I have been face the same problem but it was different from yours.

You can find that in installation directory.
For me it is look like this:

D:\Master Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

Or for simple way, just select cursor on the shortcut and open the file location. You can find TS3W.exe there.
Good luck!

This was a good read. I really feel for Devin and wonder if this divorce between his parents will nurture some bitterness and lead him along a life of crime.

Chapter 4:  Heir to the Empire

Devin is now a teenager… and rather a handsome devil, if I do say so myself ^^.

Felicia sat down with Devin so she could explain what his legacy is… as well as explaining about his father leaving.  The poor boy was devastated; he had been quite close with his father and his leaving affected him terribly.  Rather than forbid him from seeing his father, Felicia was smart enough to tell him that if he wanted to contact him, Devin was free to do so.  But she said it in such a way as to make it very apparent that it would make her incredibly sad.  Devin proclaimed he wanted nothing more to do with the man who had abandoned them and left it at that.  He failed to miss his mother’s secret smile.  Felicia loved her son, she did… but her very nature made it impossible for her not to manipulate things the way she wanted them to go.

Devin idolizes his mother; in fact, here you can see him thinking about her and what has happened… and also slapping a woman who dared make disparaging remarks about his mother’s character!

Devin coming home from the prom.  It was quite a night and now he needs to get some sleep.  He got into two fights, was denied a dance and even found a romantic interest!  After awakening, he wasted no time in calling the young lady and chatting.  My, seems like he’s quite serious about her, doesn’t it?

He wasted very little time in inviting her over.  They shared their first kiss, telling her he loves her, watching the stars together, Devin gave her flowers, cuddling during their sleepover, getting the courage to ask her to go steady and be exclusive, and her agreeing!

Now, he is over the moon.  He acquired a part time job, working for his mother’s syndicate, doing ‘disposal’ at the Mausoleum.  Until he graduates, he will work there before being fully integrated into the organization and made to work his way up, to prove himself to his mother.  He has also begun to train.

Life is good.  What could go wrong?

Chapter 5: Legacy of Evil

Felicia decided her all gray hair was a bit TOO distinguished and got it colored, though she did allow some of the gray to show through.  She thinks it makes her look more wise and she thinks it looks great with her work attire.

The talk she had with her son only strengthened her desire to see him take over for her.  Only then would she retire.  Her own mortality didn’t seem to factor in.  She needed no one but her son!  Felicia doesn't need anyone but herself and her son: see?  She can do a lot of things, even while running a criminal empire

And she’s quite the Emperor of Evil.  Felicia on her way to the military base, where she plans to hold the world hostage!

It was quite the successful endeavor and greatly added to the family funds.

There is one thing that threatens her plans… Felicia is not happy with this girl her son is interested in.  Here she is, grilling mercilessly.  She does not want to see Devin distracted from his goals by this girl and what’s more, she doesn’t want to see his heart broken, as hers was.  He just needs his mother.  Then again… hm… she DOES want a grandchild.  Felicia decides to take steps.

Oh dear… what is she up to now?

Wow, two chapters at once :o
Welcome back! I'm happy that you can continue your game and story again ;D

Yaaay, Felicia got her hair back <3 Love love love this.

Hmm, it seem that Felicia is kinda over-protective to Devin... Am I right?
Glad that Devin finally found love at his age. Oh, poor Rudolph! He should see his child growing too!
Ohh! Ohh! Oooh, that must be something cool if there will be a clash between his father and Devin in law and evil career things!

What do she planning for poor - who is the girlfriend name? do you ever mention her name before? -...
You're not making her into slave maids right :P ?

Yeah, had to do two cause I was really close to the 20 pic limit when I did the chapter focusing on Devin.  And yes, she is very protective of him.  He's become her... project... and I think, unfortunately, a way to get back at Rudolph.  Also, you will meet more of Devin's girlfriend in subsequent chapters.  I don't know if I will get to play more today because it's late and i have work tomorrow.  Plus, just got a new expansion.  Went from having 3 plus the core to now having 4 of the EP.  I know I won't want to go to bed if I start now XD

Author's Note:  I about had a heart attack... After I installed Supernatural, I noticed that my Sims had stopped aging... which might seem like a good thing, but it worried me a bit.  I did a factory restore and then opened the game again.  Suddenly, it wouldn't let me play my saved game!  I was freaking out, but after a bit of messing with it, it worked.  I'm still not sure whether the aging issue has been solved, but we'll see.  I used a birthday cake and that worked.  Whether that resets everything, we'll see... if not, I don't know what I'll do...

Chapter 6: Everyday Life in the Empire

Life has been fairly routine for Devin and Felicia; he goes to school and to work, Felicia continues to rule her criminal empire.  Here are a few shots of their daily life.

Felicia has taken up writing as a hobby

On her third novel

Devin brought home a friend from school (Shelton Wiseman) and they worked on homework together

Another friend, Hector Metcalf

However, there is still some tension regarding his relationship with Alecia…

While out past curfew, he asked Alecia to prom

Devin invites Alecia over; the faithful young man gives his beloved a massage.  What will his mama say to this when she awakes?

The two are devoted to each other

Alecia stands up to Felicia's rudeness and even tells her it's up to Devin what he wants to do.  She shouldn't force him into anything!

Oh no!  Felicia slapped Alecia for her insolence!  This can't bode well!

Devin then comforts his love.  What is he going to do if his mother and the girl he loves can't get along?  Will he have to choose?

At prom, Devin and Alecia were inseperable; they were considered quite the couple by the others at the dance.  Isn't Devin handsome?  (Really wish I coulda gotten a pic of Alecia in her prom dress…)

Felicia is angry that her son is still seeing that girl and she confronts him.  But this time, he tells her he will continue to see Alecia, whether she likes it or not.  They agree to disagree on the matter for now

Felicia is teaching her son to drive… in the car that had been his father's before the divorce

Chapter 7: A New Turning Point

Once again, without his mother’s permission, Devin invites his girlfriend over so that they can celebrate a special occasion together!

It's Alecia's and Devin's birthday!

Devin Abaddon, Adult

Personality traits: Evil, perceptive, eccentric, nurturing, ambitious
LTW: Emperor of Evil

Devin is so nervous, he can hardly hold the ring steady as he pops the question he's been wanting to ask her since they met!

Neither of them wanted to wait to get married… particularly not with how his mother will most likely react, so they do a private ceremony

Devin remodeled his bedroom so they could fit a suitable bed for him and his new wife

Then they tested it out

And welcoming Alecia (ne Katz) Abaddon to the family!

Personality traits: Flirty, great-kisser, family-oriented, frugal, charismatic
LTW: Surrounded by family (we’ll see if she sticks with this…)

Felicia attempts to keep her relationship with Devin up by congratulating him on his wedding.

Oh no… it seems that Alecia dislikes criminals immensely…  What will this mean for her and Devin's future?  Only time will tell…

Alecia is pretty domestically inclined

Was her cooking that bad?

Had to add these shots because I found it so amusing ^^
It's a full moon outside!  There are zombies!

What an irony for the evil being teaching her son with lawful things ::)

Hmm... so her name is Alecia. It was kinda unexpected that Devin would be turn into a rebel here.
It was Alecia's influence? I wonder :P

It was a nice update anyway. But, I don't know why. I feel that this update is kinda rushed.

I just started reading and I really like it. The battle between the law and crime in the same family is really interesting! Great job and I will be reading!

Heh, yeah sorry about that.  It was probably rushed because I was worried about the game itself.  I finally did solve the aging issue.  Had to actually save the family and house to the bin, then start a new game.  The only thing is, it makes me mad that all the relationships were reset and now it says Devin doesn't have a father anymore.  *sigh*  I hope the next update won't be quite so rushed, though I was still messing with stuff and there were a couple parts I had to play over, so bear with me.  I apologize.  After the next update though, should be a lot better ^^  Provided my game doesn't glitch anymore XD
