Sims 3 - Gameplay Tips

This thread could have so much potential, if only it could be more active.
I don't know how many people know this, but you could use the flooring tool to color/tile the ceiling on build mode.
Also, if you fire fireworks indoors, it will start a fire.
You can expand the inventory panel by dragging the bulge on the right. It may seem obvious but I've been playing the game since the start, and I've only known about this last month.

Witch Sims - Witch sims can not curse a super natural sim only human sims. I was just bored and trying to turn the town into toads when I noticed some I couldn't turn.

Supernatural Sims cannot be turned into toads but the other curses can be used on them.

I just found out that everytime you click on the Beverage Maker the combination of the beverages you can make changes.

Placing a floor hygienator under a sprinkler will block Sims from playing in them.  Insta route-fail dance.

That if you click the screen while the intro is running you can skip it.

For those who have WA:
 when you go to the Abandoned Barn go inside and at the back is a pile of coins.  Page down and in the corner (top left) is another pile of coins.  Open the chests  give items and sometimes, if you are there long enough you can get more on another return visit.  Definitely can when you visit back, although no coins.
Same with all of the tombs, revisit every time you return and you will find more items lying about.

- If you have both Showtime and Generations: if you have a child sing to an Imaginary friend, they often roll the Vocal Legend lifetime wish.

Almost always when an object electrocutes a Sim, the Sim rolls a wish to sell the object.

One of the best tricks I know about is holding 'Alt' when placing furniture - it gives you awesome control for placement and rotation.

I also know that the space bar flicks between Sims, the full stop and comma buttons can rotate the camera angle, furniture, floor tiles, etc.

'M' switches between map view and household view (is that what you call it. Maybe it's Sim view or something like that.)
