To whoever said the Grim Reaper never ages, he does. Old Thread :)

There was a spaceship spring rider from Generations. It's odd..look at the pattern:

-Paw Print Marking on toy #1: Pets
-Pirate Ship spring rider: Pirates and Nobles
-Spaceship Rider: ??

What are you talking about?

The given "clues" in the Generations Expansion. They give (gave out 2, could give another) hints to future sims games. For example, the toddler spring riders. I think the normal spring rider had a paw print on it, either that or a stuffed animal from GEN.

Could the spaceship rider be a hint about Lunar Lakes.

The paw print was on the gnomes.   The spring riders were just based off kids rides as far as I could tell.  I have pictures from back in the 80s of me riding in a space ship, a pirate ship and on a horse.   I don't think they were really clues to anything but kids rides.    It's because kids want to be pirates, astronauts and cowboys!

Here's the link. And I wasn't referring to the gnomes..just the horse spring rider as a hint to pets. Read the bold conversation between EA Russia and a fan under the "Weather" section.

Rachel

Didn't the fans vote on what the new neighborhood (which turned out to be Lunar Lakes) would be though?

Here's something. With "testingcheatsenabled true", you only need to enter "testingcheatsenabled t" or "testingcheatsenabled f" to turn it on or off.

And - did you know that the Grim Reaper's favorite Music will always be Classical?

I have lost pretty much lost track of the date and time, and only know when it's sunday, because I'm still in school and on summer vacation.  If the 60+ days warning doesn't come up I always just assume it's ok to post.  So, heres the thing that I unfortunatly found out:  Floor hygenators cangive you a positive moodlet if they are used only once in a while, but if you have a big house, and you put them under every door(I was using buydebug) your sim can get a nausous moodlet.  but, I was to lazy to remove the floor hygenators because that was one big house.  The lesson I learned: use floor hygenators sparingly.

Actually, floor hygeniators have a chance to "fail" which is when a Sim gets the nauseous moodlet.  Also, a sim's traits can also conflict with the hygeniator in a way that certain scents effect Sims of specific traits.    Once you get the big invention skill challenge that turns your big inventions into masterful inventions, the floor hygienators should stop giving the nauseous moodlet to anyone other than a trait/scent conflict.

ahh, ok.  I just thought it was because I used them to much,  I know I would get kind of nauseous if I had them under every door!  It was probably because they were failing.  Because I can't imagine that very many traits would conflict with the scent.  Time to go play sims and do some tests! Err right after I finish looking at the forum.

Note: Thanks for merging this thread for me! I’ve modified it to help merge it a bit better.

  • Certain buildings play music that was originally in past Sims games; i.e. the spa plays Build Mode music from The Sims 1, and the elevators play the Neighborhood themes.
  • Some generic objects are reused from The Sims 2, but are oftentimes renamed in the Buy catalog.
  • After looking through some of the game’s files it appears that The Sims 3 does not store its music separate from other files, unlike past games where they were either stored as raw *.mp3 or *.package files that can be played in Windows Media Player.
  • Quite a few book titles that can be found through the Writing skill or at the library are puns on real-life books or movies.
  • It appears that many TV shows that your Sims watch were actually filmed using The Sims 2.
  • Some shows even use music from the original Sims, such as the italian chef’s bit from the Cooking channel.
  • It is possible using the first-person camera to look inside rabbit holes.
  • Occulants, like Simbots, Vampires, ect. each have a hidden trait, which gives them their unique abilities.
The following were noted by Chuckles_82:
  • Sims in the investigator career who hate the outdoors can burn insects with their magnifying glass, making them explode and boosting their fun level.
  • Sims that have higher Athletic skill are more likely to subdue the cheap washing machine.
“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back!” - Cave Johnson, Portal 2
“You ought to upgrade to Windows 7!”, they said. “It’ll help your games run so much better!”, they said. If I see them again, then they had better know how to stabilize an on-the-fritz copy of The Sims 3 that was working just fine on Windows XP.

Interesting, I’ll add that. I’ve never actually tried that profession.

Athletic sims have a greater chance of subduing the cheap washing machine.
