Tiled Patterns by Gheez
« on: March 29, 2013, 07:42:48 PM »
Inspired by Grimsoul's wonderful tiled patterns, I decided to try my hand at creating my own.  I hope that you like them.

These patterns may all be found under Tiles and Mosaics.

The 'Fudge' Series
The 'Snow' Series

The 'Fudge' Series

Though it is possible to recolour these patterns, it is impossible to make the tiles white.

Fudge

This pattern has three colour channels.

Fudge Ducks

There are four colour channels.

Example of colour options as shown on the 'Pool' wall.  The 3/4 height tiled wall is available here, in the Building section of the Swap Shop.

Fudge Flower

Fudge Diamond

All the examples above, show the tile patterns applied to the Pool Wall.

Fudge Flowers is a good pattern for a border at the top of a tiled wall. The recolourable layers means that it is possible to underline the tiles, as shown in the blue tiled wall.

Fudge Diamond applied as a plain pattern repeat is rather busy; though the colour layer options can give a rather retro flower-like effect.  My favourite use for it is as an accent on a tiled wall, click here to see.

Sorry, I should've left a note in the first post that I was still updating the thread.  Hope these are ok.

No problem.  I see the word 'patterns' and I am right there ;D

Downloaded both and will play with them this evening.  I have a children's bathroom that needs redecorating and I think I will use these patterns.  I think I am really going to like being able to combine both patterns to really customize things.

Thank you for sharing and I promise I will not jump the gun in the future (I'll count to 10 first - lol).

The 'Snow' Series

Snow named because the base white tile reminded me of snow.  (It also reminded me of royal icing but that name was a bit long.)

Snow Tile

Though I've included colour channels, this is a monochromatic tile - it can only ever be white, grey or black.

Snow Bunny

That Freezer Bunny is really rather cute.

Snow Cat

Appears more like a geometric design, in game, rather than looking particularly cat-like.

Snow Diamond

Adds a small accent colour to the plain white tiles.

The in-game sampler shows the tiles as applied to the Pool Wall.

Walls, shared in the Swap Shop, using the Snow series tiles:  a 3/4 tiled Snow Bunny wall and a Snow tiled wall with accent strip.

Nice work on the tiles. I really like the Fudge and Fudge Diamonds. Looking forward to seeing some more.
