So just to clarify, do the fire truck and the spirit positioning device count as physical career rewards? Or what about the Firefighter's axe/coat?

Axe & Coat are fine.  Truck and Device are not.  They normally disappear when you quit the job because they are a part of the career not a reward.

The fire truck has not disappeared in my game, and I think the spirit positioning device is still in inventory as well.

They've always disappeared on me the spirit device won't disappear if it's out of the inventory but it's supposed to.  Nevertheless it's not a career reward. 

At the top of this page it says Career Rewards are items given to you as a reward.  We're not talking about stuff that's given to you to as part of the job.

I still have the truck and the alarm, so they don't count then? I'll have to knock them off my list.

I suppose my confusion over this comes partly from the police cruiser, you get to a certain level and they give you a car, you get to level 10 of the firefighter career and they give you your own truck, but I can see that yes it is a tool for working from home not a reward as such.

They give you a car means it's a reward.  The alarm doesn't disappear when you quit though but it still doesn't actually count unless the text says.  Here's a truck to ride around for work but here's an alarm to decorate the house!   The truck will disappear like the beeper will. 

The spirit device is actually mentioned in the rules as not counting.

The odd thing is I had his inventory open and the truck was parked in the drive, it vanished and another spawned in his inventory, or the one on the drive got moved in there either way it's irrelevant now as it doesn't count.

In saying that beepers don't always vanish for me either, just random inventory glitches I suppose.

How about the car that is given to you in the private investigator profession?  I am not really sure since the car from law enforcement counts, but the fire truck doesn't.

Would rewards count for the multiplier if the career is not maxed?

My understanding is that you have to max the career in order to count the rewards. If I'm wrong, I need to change my score.

Yes, you'll need to change your score then because the rules do not put down that stipulation that you have to max a job for a reward to count — many rewards in a job's progression come before lvl 10.

Thanks.  I ask a lot of questions, but I just want to make sure I am doing everything correctly.  I guess it's good though because now Marian has a higher score.
