Can I have two sims in a game-one is from another game?
« on: March 26, 2013, 09:48:41 AM »
I would like to do some changes to a garden.  To do so I have to change the garden to residential and move them there.  Make the changes and them move them back, hopefully, to their old home.  Then change the garden back to community.

I have this couple somewhat settled, I am going to download a house from the Swap Shop but not yet.  So, what I want know is, from an earlier game can I put that family in a bin and then move them to that town?  Same sim couple, from differernt saves.

I know I will have to tell them what to do in each step, but for this it doesn't matter, I want to add some more plants to a garden and am stuck with having to change it back as a resident and move sims, with all of the stuff in the inventory readded to work on it.  Move them out and make it a community garden.  With all of the stuff from the garden added to the inventory.

NOT AGAIN!  *sigh*  They have become rich from just the items gotten (is that the correct word?) from having to move back and forth to fix a problem.  I can not set up the final design with them there -- I need the plants to be in community so I don't have to worry about needing watered or weeded or dying on me.

OCD kicks in and there is constant moving, shifting of groups to one side for pairing of not only same type but what the garden is for.  In nectar I am NOT going to go back to check if they are in alphabetical order.

Hi Janna,

Yes saving off a sim family from a different game save to play in another game save is possible. Just save them with or without their house to the sim bin.

I've done this lots of times with my gardening families. I've even had the families meet each other. It's funny to watch the same family interact with each other. :)

Thanks MrsFlynn,

I forgot to add the extra plants to  garden and I want to add them in.  In the nectar garden I remembered to add a few of the other plants, garlic, tomato and others mixed in flowers, around trees so they would be available for the sims.

But in Culinary I forgot to do so.  I am working on finishing it now.  Just spent around three hours redoing the ponds.  Added the ocean and lake together so there was less room taken up.  Gave me more room for patio areas.  Have frogs and others from the frog spawner in buydebug.  In the one with the lake common 2 and ocean common 2 for all of the fish, frogs and a pond of deathfish, I think that has all of the fish and double checked to make sure I have all of the plants needed for recipes.  Have a grill for when the family wants to grill out, as I  have the steak, burger, cheese and egg plants also.  They can grill and have a meal of steak, baked potato and a salad with fruit for desert.   ;D

Nectar Garden has all of the plants, grapes and other fruits to make nectar with; along with a nectar machine and a couple of storage containers for the nectar.

Any suggestions on anything that needs to be done?  I will be adding to the pictures in the Showboat thread so you can check there and give me some feedback if you see anything that you think needs changed.
