@Chuckles- Once again a stunning modern build. I like the look of 3 different houses put together. The landscaping felt spot on and I liked the ramshackle collections of chairs around the bonfire. Great that you included both a pond and a pool. Inspired use of the curtains to look like shower drapes. I dunked my head and wonder why I've never thought of that before. I would have liked an overhead shot of the general layout.

Congratulations saltpastillen ! Your buildings really have a campus feel . Love your layout and of course your landscaping . Great curb appeal as usual . Great idea to use the rooftops for skills and a party area . Overall an awesome build !

I would like to thank samoht04 , Ausette and Lilygirl for giving us yet an other great contest to participate in .

@ Neashaleigh - I love the style of your dorm . Great curb appeal . I especially loved your kitchen, it looks great . That was a great use of that railing around your stair case . I would've never thought of doing that .

@ Gogowars329 - I really loved all your rooms showing sims doing some kind of activities . Your decor is also great . My only negative is a few windows on those brick walls to help break it up . The pink roses did help but it just needed a little more . Overall it's a great dorm .

@ Chuckles_82 - Your modern building has a great style and curb appeal . I love it ! I also really liked your use of color . What a great idea with those curtains in your showers .

I'm open for comments on my entry .  :)

@ladybug- loved the overall color scheme. Those dark cream walls and the combo of red, dark wood and purple work so well together. But it felt so empty. You have lots and lots of space and nothing to fill it with. Maybe you build your house to big? If you had doubled the amount of furniture it would have been perfect.

Congratulations Saltpastillen!  Your dorm felt like a mini-campus by itself!  As always I'm open to comments on my build.  I couldn't resist going non-traditional and building for a specific degree.  A business office for business students with skilling objects for the business and criminal careers and studies (charisma, athletic, mixology, and a little logic) mixed in with a ton of party equipment - it was a bit too much fun to build!   :D

Gogowars - I really liked your layout and the decorating style you used.  The dorms felt very student-like with a mixture of uniform university issued furniture, comfortable yet perhaps too casual furniture, and furniture that looks like you have to assemble it yourself.  Really great dorm vibe!

Neashleigh - It's quite blue and refined - your build looks like it could easily be an elegant sorority house.  Great structure!

Salpastillen - I loved all of the little touches in your build, from the chairs in front of the rebel ranting podium to the 'warring' school factions to the vampire room/awesome room for initiation and other secret ceremonies.  Really great outdoor space as well!

Chuckles - Very nice use of colour blocks in the interior!  I swear I've been in those university buildings before.  And the combination exterior is very creative.

Ladybug - Some of the overhead layout shots do look empty, but your close ups show cozy student housing.  It's a very cute little dorm with great use of school colours and themes!

@Viny- Your entry made me laugh so hard. From the awesome exterior of an old office building to the T-Rex out in the back. If I had to pick a dorm to stay at yours would be my nr. 1. I don't know if I would ever get any studying done though. Would have loved a shot of the overhead layout.

Oh and making the study area in cubicles - awesome!

Ha, thanks!  Unfortunately with four floors and a basement overhead layout shots would've taken half the possible images, and it would've eaten into the running theme of a kegstand in every shot (there's even one on the roof in the exterior pic).   ;)

Your idea of an old Call Center turned into a Dorm was a great idea . The roof top is so realistic . I love all your rooms . All your sims look like they're having a great time . Awesome build !  :)

Maybe you could add more pics now that the contest is over? Or link to an album. I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I definitely agree about needing more windows. The gray rocked walls were meant to be kind of like chimneys but I don't think I really pulled off that effect.

@Neasha Your dormitory was really nice. I love the foyer areas how you put a smoke alarm into the fireplace. Very smart idea. The only problem I had was that there is a bit too much blue everywhere.

@Chuckles Your dormitory was bright and modern and simple. I love you added a pool to the gym and had a little performing area. The curtains in the bathroom were a great idea too. The only problem with it was that judging by the photos the kitchen and dining area looked a bit small.

@ladybug Your dormitory looked great from the outside but I think it was a bit too big as most of the rooms had a lot of empty space. I did like all the bright colours in the living room and how there were quite a few of the team posters.

@Vinyl When I honestly saw yours I thought, I have no chance of winning now. You really made the old offices into a great party dorm. You probably had to bribe your Sims to go to the offices to study because they wanted to be elsewhere. I liked how there was a juice keg in every room, cool idea.

Here you go!  There's really not much to the layout - take square box, make boxes for stairs, turn leftover boxes into boxes.  ;)  Pretty much the formula for all of my builds.

Gogowars - perhaps if the rock walls had a different roofline that would've helped emphasize the chimney effect?  Maybe a flat roof, with the chimney caps if you're able to wrangle the buydebug sections of fireplace.

Thanks for putting up those pictures. I'm sure my sims will spend a lot of time in that dorm. And I think it's a good thing you put in  a lot of bathrooms.

I'd just like to say well done to everyone on their dorms, especially saltpastillen. Every single one was fantastic and if I had University Life, I'd be downloading quite a few!

@Snufflesxx - I think you did great considering you didn't have university. You picked a fun theme and really went all the way. The little touches, such as all the broom stands in a row, the alchemy station in the study room and the snake terrarium in the "Slytherin" room was awesome. It's deffinetely the place for witches to hang out.

Snuffles - your build was so well-themed and creative I didn't notice you didn't have University!  I loved the house dorms and the fact you tailored it to a specific supernatural type.  My favourite shot has to be the exterior - with the different coloured floors showing through the tower windows it looks like stained glass!
