Family Heirloom challenge

 Could anybody let my know where I am going wrong with thi one. I got my sim to paint a painting
hung it on the wall and waited  two sims later in the same house untill the painting was worth
8006$. went to build/buy to sell sold it challenge still not completed, Help.

I don't know about the details about the challenge but there might be several parts to it before you complete it.  On the Sims 3 Pets for PS3 you get a main challenge but there are several things you have to do within that challenge to complete it.
