EA no-reply e-mail after online order of University

I got this e-mail an hour ago:

Dear Amanda,

Thank you for your order from Origin on March 6, 2013. We have not yet received payment during the past 3 days and your order has been canceled.

If you have already sent payment, please disregard this notice as your order will be processed when your payment is received.  If you have not yet sent payment, your order will not be processed. If you still want to complete your purchase you must place a new order.

If you have questions about your order, please visit: www.findmyorder.com

Please note: This email message was sent from a notification-only address that cannot accept incoming email. Please do not reply to this message.

The money was taken out of my account on the 7th.  findmyorder.com sounds like spam to me.  Or maybe it was sent out by accident?  Did anyone else get this email, too?

I've gotten an email like this.  I believe it was when I ordered the 70s, 80s, 90s Stuff Pack.  In my case, the money had not been taken from my account and I simply placed my order again.  Glitches like this can happen from time to time.  I don't think findmyorder.com is spam.  It's got the Digital River name and logo on it.  They are the people who process EA's online orders.  As long as you don't give any financial information, I think you'll be fine using it to check on your order.  Also, check the email address the email was sent from.  Does it look legitimate?

Also, I'm moving this to the Technical Help board because it's not really about University Life game play.

Thanks for your input Pam.  The reason I thought it might be spam was because I definitely knew that the money had been taken out of my account a week before I got the e-mail.  Also, I digitally downloaded UL, which I'm assuming if they let me download it, that Origin knew they received payment.  Perhaps I clicked checkout twice or something.

Thanks for moving the thread.  I wasn't really sure where to put it!

As it happens I collected a total of 3 such notices yesterday and today. The order numbers do not correspond to any order confirmation I have received, also I have already "received" the game -- it all pertained to my order of UL through Origin.

The findmyorder site is not a phishing site or such, it is the site of EA's payment processor. Needless to say the order numbers of the allegedly cancelled orders are unknown there as well. :-)

I THINK someone at EA has pressed a wrong button. Who would have thought? :-)
