Brain enhancing machine

Is this just for studying for the Technology major, or what does it do for your sims?

Not just for studying. You can use it outside University. I believe this is also work with other items that was used in other majors.

There are several option there.
- Personally Programming
- Genius IQ
- Brain Enchancement
- Study Brain
- Remote Viewing of Specific Sims
- Remote Viewing of Random Sims
- Find Test Subject

Personality Programming:
You can change Sims traits and their first and last name. You will gain 'new identity' moodlet that last for a Sims day.

Genius IQ:
You will gain 'Genius IQ' moodlet and it will last for 12 Sims hours and also improve Nerds social influences.

Brain Enchantment:
You will have several skills available that you can select. It's help you to learn those skills. My Sims when she test it she has no cooking skill and when she select it, she learn from it.

When you use Remote Viewing things you can learn something about that Sims. Example: relationship status, traits.

Study Brain will improve your Nerds social influences.

Find Test Subject: You will gain Nerds social influences and also I believe you can improve related skill with the object use.
Plus you can do what you do to yourself to other Sims!

There are two - 1.0 and 2.0.   The one named 2.0 has all of the options above.    1.0 only comes with a handful of the options until you have a handy sim upgrade it and even then it doesn't have all of the same options.  You can't remote view anyone with the one you get from the tech degree.

Personally, I love this machine. Got it with a tech degree and even after uni it was still in my inventory. It can level your sim up in a skill ( Several to choose from). For the forensic branch of the law enforcement career, I needed my sim to have a level 5 or 6? in painting. I used this machine to get her there uber quick! All it needs is a little down time after each use. Or at least it does in 1.0. I'm going to have her upgrade it to 2.0 to open up the other options.

The skills you can use the machine for are: (I don't have them all listed as I'm just taking these from memory)

alchemy (I think)

Just so you know.  You can never upgrade a 1.0 to be as good as the 2.0.  You can just give it the two upgrades to get more options but you'll never have all the same options.
