Fighting

After the false alarm, Nadia climbed over the crates to get a good look at the contraption. She accidentally pressed a few buttons and it whirred to life. She heard a thunderclap. Rain. Rain isn't too bad is it?

She turned around and saw him.

He instantly started raging about the impropriety of  snooping around in another person's home. Nasty words were thrown by both sides.

When he went so far as to slap Nadia with a glove she made up her mind. She knew what she had to do.

Oh

(If your Spidey Senses are tingling, you're right! We are very close to the end now, I could do it in one big update, or two shorter updates. In the meantime, I'll work on the "epilogue" I hope I'm not as much of a disapointment as JK Rowling!(jk, love you, Rowling! Next time, don't kill Sirius!) *Ahem* Sorry about that.)

How dare he abuse poor Nadia!  The impropriety must cut her to the quick!

So, would you like one big update, or two smaller updates?

I'd suggest two smaller so you're sure you can do all you want with them

Captives

Nadia woke up feeling woozy.

She soon registered where she was. A basement. With Victor?
"Victor! How long have you been in here?"
"About since I left to become a lifeguard."
"You've been down here for weeks then!"
"Yeah, and you really thought a vampire would aspire to be a lifeguard?"

Nadia marched herself over to the fence, "Why am I here, Sammy?"
"Since when have we been on first name terms?"
Nadia seethed, "Why am I here, you son of a chupacabra?"
"You obviously aren't very supportive of my efforts to make the world a better place. So my next move would obviously be to take you out of the way."

"There is no way out for you. But, when I am the supreme Vampire King, maybe you will be allowed to kiss my boots."
Nadia spat on his boots instead, and that didn't go over well with him.

"You're a traitor to your own kind! You stand by the mind-invaders, you married a half-breed, and your mother is a glowbug!"

Wow, Nadia just had supernatural slurs thrown at her.  What an interesting moment of character change and development.

Yay character development!
And if you are having trouble relating to Nadia think of it this way:
Uh, finding a politically correct analogy...
How would you feel if someone proposed the idea of going through the country's parking lots, and slaughtering the owners of the badly parked cars.
You don't like them, but you don't want them all killed.
