Epilogue: Part OneBack in Midnight Hollow, Gage and Marivell were rounding out their family with another newborn.
Gage promptly fainted away.
While Casper wailed in his crib; it was clearly mealtime and someone was running late with that bottle.
In the end, Marivell pulled through by herself, as usual.
They named the baby girl Carmella, in honor of Gage's paternal grandmother and former dynasty helper. They didn't know it yet, but quite fittingly she would grow up with the distinctive black and grey striped hair of her namesake.
They decided to stop there. Between a boy, a girl, and a dog, they were living the domestic good life.
Their little family felt complete.
Everette, meanwhile, showed up in Midnight Hollow rather mysteriously.
Had he been let go from the Bachelorette? Or had he just received special permission for a trip back home for Lilith's wedding? Everette wouldn't say.
Everette: "The house is perfect, dad. I love it!"
If he was surprised to see that his son Percival had chosen the werewolf life, he didn't let on.
He seemed too preoccupied by other thoughts, and the wedding arch standing waiting in the back yard wasn't exactly helping.
He was, however, pleasantly surprised to meet his lovely new neighbor.
Everette: "Mari-
sela, is it?" he asked. "I swear I've heard that name somewhere."
She blushed. "Yes, erm, I--I know your grandmother, Gwenyth. Did she mention me?"
And of course, we all know that every woman Everette has ever fallen for had a name beginning with four leters: m-a-r-i. Marissa, Marie, Marielle, and who knows? Perhaps someday, Marisela. There certainly seemed to be a spark.
Thanna Azokka took her pet werewolf Percival out for a game of fetch, and a well-timed and well-aimed throw promptly ensured that a certain someone joined in the games. The stick landed at her feet.
"Oh, is this yours? Do you want me to throw it?"
It turned out the young lady--whose name was Cara Carter--was agog for those of a supernatural persuasion. In fact, she probably wouldn't have looked twice at Percival if Thanna hadn't turned him into a werewolf.
Cara: "Aren't you just the cutest!" she cried, scratching him behind the ears.
Thanna just smiled softly to herself.
"Good riddance, mutt."
Her work here complete, she moved on to torment some poor other soul.
And it wasn't long before Percival was enjoying a warm fire with his new girlfriend after all.
