Now or NeverMarisela didn't wait long to make her move. Marissa had only just finished her mourning period, when the phone rang for a date call.
She was pleasantly surprised that Marisela showed up with flowers.
Marisela: "They're red, just like your eyes."
But when Marisela tried to lean in for a smooch while taking a photo, Marissa found herself delicately pulling away to make sure it was all just friendly.
There was just so much that had happened between them over the years, or rather, so much that hadn't happened. It was all so confusing.
She assured Marisela that she just needed a little more time.
It didn't help that the paparazzi were breathing down their necks the whole time. The same paparazzo with Emmett hair who had harassed her son in the bathroom was once again getting a little too intrusive.
Brett Dobbs: "Oh my gawd, are you guys getting back together! I'm such a big fan; can you sign this?"
Marisela had to leave early, being the guest of honor at her own birthday party, but Marissa agreed to meet her the following day.
She fretted anxiously in the mirror before leaving the house. Her stomach was tied up in knots. This was it, she knew. It was now or never.
So when Marisela walked through that door, Marissa went for a bold move.
Just as she had that day when, as teenagers, they had first kissed at the beach.
And in the instant of that kiss, Marissa popped a wish.
