Okay, well maybe that was literally true because of that Midas Touch potion, but it was figuratively true too!
He screwed up his courage to ask his boss for a promotion and was granted one.
He was in love and able to tell the whole world about it.
And to top it all off, Odine was pregnant!
At first Vera had taken it badly. She had broken up with her boyfriend, which was worrisome, and then preceded to engage in a little late night pranking, dragging Giles along with her.
Giles must've said something to her in the car, though, because when her young adult birthday rolled around the next day, Sinjon couldn't help but noticed she'd included Odine on the guest list. When he'd confronted her about it, she just shrugged and said, "More presents for me, right?" But something in her tone of voice indicated a begrudging acceptance.
She decided to celebrate her birthday in style, with a late night dance party at The Aquarius.
His little girl was all grown up, and the tumultuous teen years were a thing of the past. Maybe now she would settle down, focus on her career, and stop with the staying out late at night to chase boys and go to dance clubs.
Vera: "Huh, who is that hottie with muscles?"
Or maybe not.
Vera: "Hi, I'm Vera. You look familiar; have we met?"
William: "William. I was at your party at the--" he paused, suddenly remembering. "Erm, I mean . . . no."
Vera: "Well, I'm heading off to college, but who knows? Maybe I'll give you a call sometime." *wink*
And when The Aquarius announced it was closing its doors, Vera insisted that the party continue down at the beach. She paused as she headed out.
Vera: "You're welcome to come too, Odine."
Sinjon just smiled. Yep, that was his daughter alright.
