Catching up with stories after a gap - our internet connection's been playing up.
I love the mad-science lab - all white and clinical but full of crazy machines. I recognise some of the content but not all. Is there a lot of University stuff in there? I'm starting to be tempted...
Poor Gwyneth - and Sinjon. I think I feel sorrier for him, really - and for the kids, of course. It's going to be awkward in an Immortal Dynasty where he can't move out.
Nice to see Darcy again. I find him the most attractive of the original Dojo men. Sorry, Everette fans.
Yeah, a lot of the lab stuff is from University. The big science machines and test chair, the dry erase boards, some cool lamps, etc. I was actually surprised by all the attention Everette received for his hotness. For me, hm, I might have to go with Percival, but then he had such great coloring! It's too hard to choose!
AlwaysSinjon couldn't quite explain the instant connection that he felt the moment he first met Odine Perry.
Sometimes you just have to go for a bold move and take a chance. Fortunately, Odine rather liked his heat of the moment kiss.
And then the next thing he knew, he was falling in love: her creamy skin, the cold blue vampire light in her eyes. If only he didn't have to keep it all a secret, it would've been perfect.
Which is why one morning, he decided he was tired of holding it all inside.
Sinjon: "We're over, Gwenyth! I'm tired of living a lie, and I want the whole world to know that I'm in love!"
Gwenyth just raised an eyebrow. "You do realize Giles is standing right here, yes?"
Gwenyth: "Oh bother, and now Evan too! Great, let's just invite the whole town, shall we?"
The boys, however, seemed strangely nonplussed. They sat down to breakfast as if nothing was unusual.
Evan: "So you guys are breaking up, huh?"
Giles: "Just as I predicted."
Evan: "Oh, fine! Here's your ten bucks."
For Vera, on the other hand, things were not so simple.
Vera: "You guys
what?!"
Suddenly it all seemed so pointless. Love. Romance. Marriage. All of it! If this was the end result--if all that effort just ended in heartache and betrayal, then why bother? Besides, now she was doomed. Giles was always going on about how children grow up to be their parents, blah blah, environmental factors, blah blah, genetic pre-disposition. If her own parents couldn't figure out how to make things work, then how on earth was she to?
Egbert: "I don't understand, what are you saying Vera?"
Vera: "You're just gonna break my heart and ditch me anyway. I'm saying I might as well end it now!"
Egbert: "Are you insane!" he yelled. "I'll always love you, Vera!
Always! There's never going to be another girl for me, don't you know that?!"
Vera: "Eggs, I'm sorry, I just, I--"
Egbert: "Whatever, I don't have time for this right now. I have to go to work."
She tried to comfort herself with a freezer bunny popsicle.
She tried to tell herself that she'd made the right decision, but she could still hear Eggs's voice ringing in her head.
Always, huh? He sounded so sure about that.
It wasn't working.
Vera: "Stupid popsicle!"
