The stride of pride came with Late Night, and it doesn't seem to work for sims that are married or engaged.

Whatever the purpose is, I'm glad that Sinjon can find love.

No wonder I never saw it, Late Night is the only expansion pack I don't own. >.<
Thank you, Trip. ^^

Stress and Happiness

Gwenyth: "Sinjon, I need to ask you if you've been seeing anyone--"

Sinjon: "Oh god! How did you know about her? I couldn't, I'm sorry, Gwenyth, but I just couldn't help myself."

Sinjon: "Are you . . . are you mad at me?"

Gwenyth: "What do you think, Sinjon? And what are the kids going to think? Vera's already troubled enough as it is. Look, as for myself, you don't owe me anything, but what about them?"

Sinjon: "But I'm in love, of course they'll understand and--"

Gwenyth decided that she had about enough of listening to Sinjon's excuses. What was he thinking?

This clearly called for some stress-free, pamper time in the hot tub.

Gwenyth: "I'm so angry I could just pop! Distract me, mom. Tell me something happy."

Samura: Kittens are soft and fluffy.

Gwenyth: "No mom, I mean about the family."

Samura: Oh. Hm, well let's see: Gage, Everette, Percival--looks like Darcy's up next. That's definitely happy.

Darcy and Doreen had planned to move to France, but their plans changed at the last minute. They figured, why move to France when you can move to Italy? So they bought a house in Monte Vista.

It wasn't the largest house, which--you know Darcy, such a snob--wasn't what he would have wanted, but Doreen said it was the perfect place to raise a family.

They lost no time in getting one started.

They also bought two horses: an obedient roan for Doreen named Mara.

And a gorgeous lipizzaner for Darcy named Jake.

You know how much Darcy loves horses!

Doreen only just started learning how to ride; she's still a little shaky in the saddle.

And it looks like future riding lessons will have to wait, because they've already got a nooboo on the way!

Doreen: "A nooboo! I'm so excited!"

Doreen: "I want to fill up this whole table with children!"

Darcy: "You want . . . *counting* seven children?!"

Samura: Don't worry about Darcy, he's used to having a big family.

Aw, it's nice to see Darcy and Doreen so happy! Darcy definitely belongs in Italy--a snob like him should enjoy the sunshine and art!

As for Gwenyth and Sinjon, I find it kind of funny that Gwenyth is doing this because she "cheated" (I blame the overbearing friend), and Sinjon cheated on her!

She made it pretty clear that she only cares for the children's sakes, though. I love the Darcy and Doreen update. That is definitely something happy. I just think they're the most adorable couple. I think they should have seven purple babies. That would be lovely. I was wondering how they were going to pull off moving to France. I'd rather live in Italy myself, but then I am biased ;)

Those horses are so cute! I'm sure Doreen and Darcy (and their upcoming olympic team of nooboos) will enjoy Monte Vista.

When Darcy and Dorleen have their nooboos, you must show us he/she!

Oh, goodness I've missed so much!  I agree with Dextra, I really want to see the resulting nooboos!  Also, I'm kind of happy that Sinjon found love, even if his methods are a bit uncouth.  He deserves a woman who isn't just using him to work toward loving someone else.

So happy Darcy and Doreen are so happy! Hopefully they will have all the seven children! Yay! The horses are awesome!

Poor Gwyneth-she must be feeling pretty alone. And poor Sinjon, its natural I and he can't be blamed. He deserves to be loved and love. And the poor children! How will they react! I can imagine Vera pranking her Dad's new girlfriend(who is she, btw?)

Hehehe, Darcy and Doreen are so cute!  And I, too, love the picture of him choking on his food as he finds out there will be seven children hehehehe

Thanks! That was all Darcy though, haha! He did that almost immediately after her nooboo speech bubble, and it cracked me up.

Plus great vineyards for his nectar making! Maybe Gwenyth should be more understanding, but of course, it's always different when it's you and your kids on the other end!

Yeah, getting a vacation house in France would've been hard to work with story wise. Then Monte Vista went on sale for $10, and that was so much better! I really love Darcy and Doreen as a couple, too, especially because of how they almost didn't get to be together because Shawnya lived soooo long!

Those horses are so cute! I'm sure Doreen and Darcy (and their upcoming olympic team of nooboos) will enjoy Monte Vista.

Getting to make the horses in CAS instead of buying was so much fun, getting to customize each horse its owner's personality and such.

Of course I will show you nooboos! That would just be cruel to promise them and not deliver! (*Hopes to see more updates on the Classics soon, by the way!*)

So happy Darcy and Doreen are so happy! Hopefully they will have all the seven children! Yay! The horses are awesome!

That shall be revealed, anon! Not that I imagine its terribly suspenseful, but it is an original townie. The kids reactions were actually rather surprising to me, but you'll see more on that soon, too!

YAY! Darcy got a happy ending. Anybody named after a Pride and Prejudice character deserves happiness!

Especially when that character is Mr. Darcy! I mean, if it were Wickham it might be different.  :P

Catching up with stories after a gap - our internet connection's been playing up.

I love the mad-science lab - all white and clinical but full of crazy machines.  I recognise some of the content but not all.  Is there a lot of University stuff in there?  I'm starting to be tempted...

Poor Gwyneth - and Sinjon.  I think I feel sorrier for him, really - and for the kids, of course.  It's going to be awkward in an Immortal Dynasty where he can't move out.

Nice to see Darcy again.  I find him the most attractive of the original Dojo men.  Sorry, Everette fans.

Yeah, a lot of the lab stuff is from University. The big science machines and test chair, the dry erase boards, some cool lamps, etc. I was actually surprised by all the attention Everette received for his hotness. For me, hm, I might have to go with Percival, but then he had such great coloring! It's too hard to choose!

Always

Sinjon couldn't quite explain the instant connection that he felt the moment he first met Odine Perry.

Sometimes you just have to go for a bold move and take a chance. Fortunately, Odine rather liked his heat of the moment kiss.

And then the next thing he knew, he was falling in love: her creamy skin, the cold blue vampire light in her eyes. If only he didn't have to keep it all a secret, it would've been perfect.

Which is why one morning, he decided he was tired of holding it all inside.

Sinjon: "We're over, Gwenyth! I'm tired of living a lie, and I want the whole world to know that I'm in love!"

Gwenyth just raised an eyebrow. "You do realize Giles is standing right here, yes?"

Gwenyth: "Oh bother, and now Evan too! Great, let's just invite the whole town, shall we?"

The boys, however, seemed strangely nonplussed. They sat down to breakfast as if nothing was unusual.

Evan: "So you guys are breaking up, huh?"

Giles: "Just as I predicted."

Evan: "Oh, fine! Here's your ten bucks."

For Vera, on the other hand, things were not so simple.

Vera: "You guys what?!"

Suddenly it all seemed so pointless. Love. Romance. Marriage. All of it! If this was the end result--if all that effort just ended in heartache and betrayal, then why bother? Besides, now she was doomed. Giles was always going on about how children grow up to be their parents, blah blah, environmental factors, blah blah, genetic pre-disposition. If her own parents couldn't figure out how to make things work, then how on earth was she to?

Egbert: "I don't understand, what are you saying Vera?"

Vera: "You're just gonna break my heart and ditch me anyway. I'm saying I might as well end it now!"

Egbert: "Are you insane!" he yelled. "I'll always love you, Vera! Always! There's never going to be another girl for me, don't you know that?!"

Vera: "Eggs, I'm sorry, I just, I--"

Egbert: "Whatever, I don't have time for this right now. I have to go to work."

She tried to comfort herself with a freezer bunny popsicle.

She tried to tell herself that she'd made the right decision, but she could still hear Eggs's voice ringing in her head. Always, huh? He sounded so sure about that.

It wasn't working.

Vera: "Stupid popsicle!"

I like it. The realism of Vera's response, the boys' casual bet. Odine Perry, though? Really? Being a vampire does not suit her, in my opinion.
