Can't go to class (not lecture)

Soo ... I have two test Sims currently in their second week of university, first trip.  Both show that class is happening right now and that they are skipping, but neither can go to class.  When I click the button on the Education panel it says "class isn't being held right now."

Help?

Did you try clicking on the school building they need to go to and choosing "Attend 102 Class"?

Yeah, the option doesn't show and the progress bar has disappeared next to the education tab, which sucks as it was maxed out for both of them.

What day is it?

Have you tried all the standard things like clearing caches and what not? 

Edit: Crin just tweeted that she posted something new about not having a performance meter.   http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/03/no-performance-meter.html
Says to resetSim.  Have you tried that?

I'm having the same issue.
Actually, I'm having a lot of issues since University came out and it's such a shame! All of the first term was great. No issues at all. My Sim stayed for 2 weeks and passed all exams with flying colors. Now that she's been home and has to come back everything is glitched. It all started with the General Assembly that happens on Sundays... she glitched out and reset back home. This happened in a previous save (but I just shrugged and assumed it was because it was an old save and University can't function well with older saves) so I had her cook to make sure that didn't reset her (as that happened last time in that previous save) and it seemed fine.
Monday rolled around, I was excited to get her her LAST six credits and get her onto her job in the Medical career and she got no prompt to go to class. Class was supposed to start at 4 and I know 2:30 is when she should have been prompted to leave but not so. I have had her stand outside of her class and click on the building several times but no options show up. I reset her two times: once with the fully updated Master Controller (a hard reset that helped my previous save function a little longer before finally kicking the bucket and causing me to give up) and just by doing the resetsim firstname lastname in the cheats box.
I'm out of ideas and my Sim is seriously almost done with school. I thought I had made it through with minimal issues but they just keep coming back.
Please let me know if anyone has any other ideas to help fix this. I raised this girl from infancy, and I really don't want to watch her hard work (and mine) in school and university to be thrown away by a silly glitch!

Currently I'm going to save-as and quit. I want to see if reopening it fixes it.

**Edit to Specify that this is a new save that I'm referring to. The old one I did have to give up on and I started fresh.

I also gave up and started a new file.  No idea why that happened, but hopefully it was a one time bug.

Yeah, me too. I also give up after trying several things that *hopefully* can fix this problem!
Have no idea why this happened as my game is mod-free!
When I start a new file (I have save my sims in bin before), eveything can be work again.
At least they can have their meet and greet event (their action queue not canceled),
I think this is the vital problem, cannot attend these, cannot attend classes.
and they can *finally* attend class at peace.

While I have run into occasional bugs (like the term where 7 residents of my fraternity stopped eating and died), I haven't had this one. And the EP adds a ton of stuff in addition to just the University enrollment, so maybe a bit glitchy, but far from worthless.
